Saturn Donald Duck Quack Shot
Saturn Donald Duck Quack Shot
This quack Shot is the same version as the megadrive version.
Any have this game?
Is it really 100% the same?
What about resolution?
What about colors?

Yeah, I have it. Castle of Illusion Staring Mickey Mouse is on the disc as well.
The resolution, color, and game play are pretty much the same as the cart. The only thing is that the game text is in Japanese so figuring were to go to next can be a hassle, that's if you've never played the US release (like me). Btw, the game looks great when running through s-video - I'm seriously thinking of getting my Genesis 1 modded for s-video because of this.

Is this available on the Saturn? I didn't know that.. is it a compilation or something like this?
Quackshot is one of the finest platform games ever made IMO. I don't think I'd go for it on saturn (I've finished the game a couple of times..), but if it's in a compilation, I'd may search for it... (Quackshot, Castle of Illusion and World of Illusion all in the same disc would be neat
)

Its just Quackshot and Castle of Illusion. Though as far as I can tell its a perfect port from the Genesis. Just wish there was an english option...

RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE!!!!!!
It's also pretty pricey for two Genesis games that can be had for 5 bucks each. Probably not worth it, unless you're a Saturn collector that has to have everything.
I wonder why they didn't include World of Illusion. It just seems like the natural thing to do. They've got their Mickey game, they've got their Donald game, why wouldn't Sega include their Mickey and Donald game?

Castle of Illusion and Quack Shot were made by SEGA, not Capcom (as far as I know anyway). I'll list the SEGA and Capcom Disney games, though. This list isn't complete. The Genesis Aladdin isn't listed because it was designed by Virgin, not SEGA. Fantasia isn't listed becuase I'm not sure if SEGA designed it.Cthulhu wrote:Any chance you guys could list off the good Capcom Disney games here? I've been wanting to go back and play them again but I just couldn't remember any names other than Castle of Illusion and Quack Shot...
SEGA:
Genesis:
Castle of Illusion
World of Illusion
Quackshot
Master System/Game Gear:
Castle of Illusion
Land of Illusion
Legend of Illusion
Lucky Dime Caper Starring Donald Duck
Deep Duck Trouble
Capcom:
SNES:
Magical Quest
Great Circus Mystery
Magical Quest 3 (Japan only)
Aladdin
Genesis:
Magical Quest?
Great Circus Mystery
PSX:
Magical Quest?
Magical Tetris Challenge?
NES:
Duck Tales
Duck Tales 2
Darkwing Duck
Rescue Rangers
Rescue Rangers 2
Tale Spin
GB:
Duck Tales
Duck Tales 2
Darkwing Duck
Tale Spin
GBC:
Magical Tetris Challenge
GBA:
Magical Quest Series
Aladdin
N64:
Magical Tetris Challenge
Anyone ever pass level one of Rescue Rangers when playing 2 player?
I know all I ever did was toss my buddy off the edge of a platform and watch him die by falling off the bottom of the screen.
He'd then try to get revenge and I'd do it again.
And again.
Then he'd reset the game.
So I only ever beat it playing single player.

You're arguing for a universe with fewer waffles in it. I'm prepared to call that cowardice.

Wow, I always thought CoI and QS were made by Capcom for some reason... that would probably explain why CoI got a Master System port even though Capcom didn't really make MS games (even Strider was just licenced iirc)...

I myself have been considering this for a very long time. Once you get used to S-video or RGB scart connections, it's really difficult to go back. Any idea of the costs involved and how much work is needed?Gydocker45 wrote:Btw, the game looks great when running through s-video - I'm seriously thinking of getting my Genesis 1 modded for s-video because of this.

I was going to email the guy that modded my Neo Geo AES, because I think he also does Sega Genesis mods too. Hopefully it won't cost more than $60 or $70 dollars. I'll PM you the price, if you want.azmun wrote:I myself have been considering this for a very long time. Once you get used to S-video or RGB scart connections, it's really difficult to go back. Main CPU : MC68000 x 2
Sound CPU : Z80
Sound chip : YM2151 + Custom PCM chip

For that price you may as well leave your system untouched and get the micomsoft RGB to svideo adapter. Around the same price and no hacking.Gydocker45 wrote:I was going to email the guy that modded my Neo Geo AES, because I think he also does Sega Genesis mods too. Oh, that's the Out Run arcade hardware... first arcade hardware (and game) I truly fell in love with.raiden wrote:sorry for the OT, have to ask for sheer curiosity: which system is that?Main CPU : MC68000 x 2

I'm interested in this option too. Can you recommend any place where I can get one?Bar81 wrote:For that price you may as well leave your system untouched and get the micomsoft RGB to svideo adapter. Around the same price and no hacking.
I bought an S-Video modded, no TMSS model 1 Genesis from http://oldschoolgamer.ca/ for $80, including shipping IIRC. If you send him your Genesis I'm sure the price would be less.
