Mega Man should stay 2D.
If they could SUCCESSFULLY make a good 3D Mega Man, why not? If they made one that was the quality of Super Mario 64 or something, I doubt many would complain. I mean, we have a LOT of 2D Mega Mans. I would actually prefer if they gave nice sprite based overhauls to the classic games. Just make them look a lot nicer. I don't like the look of the remake of Mega Man for the PSP.

Oh, i'll have to go with Ultimate Ghouls N' Ghosts also. I wouldn't say 7's are a bad score, but I thought that game was just awesome. KAI is the much better version though.

Mega Man should stay 2D.
If I ever play a 3D Mega Man you can cut my hands off.

As for the thread topic, my mention goes to Heavy Nova for the Genesis/Mega Drive.
I love this game so much that I feel like an alien!

You say that because you haven't played MM Legends.
"Sooo, what was it that you consider a 'good salary' for a man to make?"
"They should at least make 100K to have a good life"

MM Legends was a good game.

I would have no problem with a 3d Megaman that played like a 2d platformer.
Some of the best shmups don't actually end in a vowel.
No, this game is not Space Invaders.

There is a long list of games for this, but here are some that stand out in my mind.

Secret of Evermore - Better than Secret of Mana.
P.N.03 - Reviews for this game really fueled my hate for mainstream reviews.
Killer 7 - People did not like this game for all the wrong reasons.
Phantasy Star IV - Supposedly this got low marks back in the day. Ridiculous if that is true.
The Lost Kingdoms Games - I had fun with these.
Every Shooter except Ikaruga pretty much.

I can't think of anything else right now.

Aaaaaargh!
Please give me a few reasons for that, because i love SoM and always thought SoE felt like a porn-movie (because of the bad sound quality and strange feel to it).
Plus you've got to hate the first parts of the game.
I just didn't feel any love in the gamedesign...

The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring

That game was soo much fun. Not to forget the detail of the far superior XBOX version (acorns falling from the trees, birds flying by, squirrels playing in the grass near your feet).

Some magazines gave the game lower marks simply due to the high price of the game ($99.99).

Others bashed it for the names it misspelled.

Phantasy Star III- So-so reviews, and horrific word-of-mouth pretty much killed this game off. It was different from the two that came before it, and the battle animations were pretty stiff. The enemy designs were just downright weird at times, but overall, I enjoyed the game. The whole "generations" aspect gave the story a nice twist, and the graphics themselves were pretty nice for the time. The music was rather good as well (though it sounded like it was a little too loud).

It may not be a "true" Phantasy Star in the eyes of the purists, but it's hardly a bad game in my eyes. I found it to be an enjoyable side story to the main PS tale (which is what the game is... a side story), despite it's monster designs and lack of battle animations. This game is also the one that started all the "Phantasy Earth" rumors that have been around for ages because... well, just play it and you'll see.

The Club
Infinite Undiscovery
Heavenly Guardian

I actually reviewed Infinite Undiscovery.. and I didn't review it that well. But I really liked it. It was fun and its cliche cheesiness appealed to me.
