Cave games that get a 2nd game in the franchise
I'm talking about the spinoff games, like Futari and Black labels.
Are they completely different games or just remixed a little?
I like mushi alot but wondering what is the difference in Futari. Thanks for your help.
Richie.

This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.
Fine tuned gameplay + new/changed scoring systems are also a factor in Black Labels.

DOJ BL - fine tuned gameplay mechanics
Ibara BL - completely different game just same graphics
Futari BL - original and maniac are finetuned, god is a completely new mode, no Ultra.
DS BL - fine tuned gameplay mechanics + new difficulty
mushihimesama and mushihimesama futari are two completely different games, futari is mushihimesama 2, they share nothing.

It is a completely different game. There are similarities which continue themes that exist within Ibara (i.e., similar rank system), but there is definitely a different look to the graphics, different gameplay, etc. Basically, it just continues the story line.RackGaki wrote:Where does Pink Sweets fall?
The playmechanics are taken from Summer Carnival 92' Recca.brumma wrote:It is a completely different game. Right, but not similar to any other Cave game play mechanics.Kiken wrote:The playmechanics are taken from Summer Carnival 92' Recca.brumma wrote:It is a completely different game. Wow, it's been so long since the first one came out! It is so different from other games that it would be great to have a sequel.PC Engine Fan X! wrote:And will Cave consider doing a proper sequel to it or have they regulated it as a one-off game title as it was intended to be from the beginning?croikle wrote:There's always Guwange 2.
