Tatsunoku vs Capcom

Post by Strider77 »

My copy came in the mail friday and had a decent session with friends last night. I like the game alot. It's not the battle of the assists crpafest that was MvC2... the assists are way more in check this time.

It looks quite nice to... they really nailed the cell shading. The characters look 2D and the hit detection is good ect.

Karas is awesome and super fun to play along with tagging during an air combo and continuing it with the other character.

If you have a wii and the means to play an import I highly recommend it. But don't expect MvC3.... thank god.
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

MvC series is great. I'm not a fighting hardcore, so it's all fun with recognizable characters and crazy shit happening all the time. Don't know why you're dissing MvC but whatever.

TvC looks cool but I have no idea who half the roster are.

I think there are significant omissions on the Tatsunoko field. I wanted Muteking, and Daigo. Let's hope they do a sequel :)

Even though i hate to admit that i pirated the game, it is indeed a lot of fun!
Play it as soon as you can. It's great.
And in my humble opinion it feels a tiny bit better than SF IV.
Can't say why, though.

i don't know. i haven't played this and probably won't seeing as it's likely not coming to america, but it just looks too dial-a-combo to me. thankfully it doesn't seem to have the infinites and broken-ness of mvc2, but the base combo system looks far easier to exploit. ground combo->launcher->aerial rave->tag->aerial rave->super xx partner super->land->repeat. if they bring it to america (and hopefully stick it on something other than wii) i'll pick it up but i'm not excited by this game.

oh, and there's a primer on the game on srk's front page for those interested.

They're pushing to hell and back to get it out over here. they've stated this and it's usually a good sign that it will get out over here, licencing fagtastrophy aside.

It'd be great if Nintendo stopped being such 'holes and made the Wii region-free. All their portables are region-free. I can't see why they hesitate to make the same move with their consoles.

Apparently they're looking to "remedy" that with the DSi.

I also hope that TvC makes it here, but apparently all the licensing issues are a huge pain in the neck, so I'm not as hopeful as I'd like to be.

I honestly hope TvC gets ported somewhere else other than Wii... In this day and age the word exclusive has lost its meaning and I don't see why capcom want to relegate a fighting game only one one of the three systems.

It already IS region free, you just have to install the Homebrewchannel ;)

I didn't like MVC 2... repeat part 2. It was a battle of the assists.... the use of the assist characters was a MUST in high level play. I didn't like that... it works but makes it a VERY different game. It just wasn't to my game.

This game does way with that.... no 2 assists on the sreen at once while the other is doing the same.

It's a versus game with chains but it's not a dial a combo fest... i mean it is but it's very different in ways. The mega crush lets you break out of alot and the arial tag combos are a ton of fun.

I love this game... best 2D fighter that's new to come out in awhile. Besides... karas is awesome.
