Played more of it tonight (PS2, obviously),can't shake the feeling that I'm not sure of what I do. I "survived" level 1 with 800k in the bank. I then managed to "Hadou" the stage 2 boss in the butt. Got to stage 3 boss after a bombing frenzy on the trains (which had an eerie feeling of randomness) and died the most ridicuous death on the gayest pattern of the boss. Boo me.

I don't hate the game too much...yet.

my biggest problem with this game is the fact that you have to carpet bomb all the time....

and the rank is a bitch....and whats the point of having powerups if you arent supposed to collect them dammit? :x

i will try and have a PCB here for when you come......i will probably sell it after you go.....lolz......silly ibara....why are you such a bitch?

Personally I think the Ibara PCB is a great value, but a big factor in that opinion is that I quite enjoy the game. Comparatively cheap for a modern-ish game, and it also does not take much room so you can have both leftover funds and space for accompanying PCBs (I recommend OutZone - fantastic level design and excellent 1P score attack, and superbly strategic in 2P).

I have also added a lot of labour in setting up my dedicated Ibara gun so that is another reason why I am hanging onto mine.

The rank is a pain but with my lack of skill, the game is still fun enough to just blast away, letting medals drop off the screen all the time.

Don't get the PCB just for me, especially if you don't like it much. Agreed about rank, I've always had trouble with Garegga for pretty much the same reasons. Still, I like to play this one better since

a) Yes, the game enrcourages you to bomb, but it does give you LOTS of bomb fragments, which kind of makes sense. (if you've played Garegga you know it's not the case...)

b) I see bullets better overall, them being blue & pink instead of brown and brownish.

c) I feel rank doesn't get too angry in Ibara if you collect pickups (and let some medals drop off). I may be wrong, but that's the way I see it. In Garegga I have to avoid powering up almost at all costs. Dodging bullets... and pickups? I'm with you a bit, I mean, how fun is letting everything go? :)

Dude, honestly. Even 3 weeks seems like a fucking eternity.
Also, yay @ being able to borrow Futari again.

Hmmmm, hopefully for the meet, I'll be able to bring the tototek adapter and such.

I should be able to lug an HRAP over there. Or the smaller Xbox 360 controller. I don't think I can drag over the entire 360 w/o a ride or something.

Would you be able to accommodate for two people? (Me as one.)

That's not for sure, because there will actually be someone else in the car as well. Are you taking any delicate cargo?

Change of plans.
I'll be coming to the meet still, but I'll be the very first person to leave, since I have a party to attend to. Since I don't want to ruin anyone's fun while they're all there, I'm not going to take futari with me.
