I have several hobbies, traits, and quirks which could easily be classified as "off-beat." I never really found shame in these activities until today when I was sitting in the Burger King drive-thru, waiting for my Kids Meal, so that I could get the friggin' toy to proudly display on my game shelf.
Please tell me I am not alone?
Assuming I'm not - Does anyone know how these promotions work? I gather that they last for a month, and that there are 10 toys to collect... But beyond that, I know nothing. Are new toys released weekly? Or is it all at once, and 100% random? Is there etiquette involved? Is it rude to request a specific toy?

Burger King Wii Toys
I bought one today. I didnt get a kids meal though. I just pay the extra $1.40 for the toy. Got the black chain trap guy..whatever they are called. I want the Mario Kart Yoshi.
I dont know how often they get new ones but i ask which ones they had and they told me "the black one". So i guess they just get in one at a time.
I bought the SD star wars toys that came out a couple years ago and i had no problems requesting whatever they had that i didnt.

Actually it is quite common for a parent to ask for a specific toy. I think that many places have a handful at once and they just randomly distribute. You need to get a little cousin or something to ride with you so you don't look like a full grown adult making an ass of yourself.

Some of the best shmups don't actually end in a vowel.
No, this game is not Space Invaders.

I didn't know you could do that. Brilliant!Octopod wrote:I just pay the extra $1.40 for the toy.

More proof that Nintendo is for kids.
That chain chomp is adorable, though. The problem with these kinds of toys is that there's just way too many of them. I remember having something like 200 McD toys as a kid, then some old lady came and bought the lot. I wonder if someone actually has all of them.
