Sony PSX DESR series

Post by undamned »

I vaguely recall some discussion about these systems a while ago, but I can't find the thread... Anyways, so, who all owns one of these? Are they cool for anything other than playing your PS/2 games? Does the D-Terminal video look as good as using component cables on a US console?

i had one, sold it, very cool machine but absoluteley obsolete in this day and age.

dsub to component cable looks just fine :)

my only main problem with it really was that everything on the console is in japanese, not a lick of english in sight :( im fairly used to navigating japanese menus but thisone was a real pain, i was never able to figure out any of the cool features tbh..

Here's NCSX's take on both PSX DESR production models, the PSX DESR 5000 with 160GB HDD and the PSX DESR-7000 with the 250GB HDD.

Very pricey PSX DESR hardware indeed. Too bad SCEI didn't include an English language option on the menu screen setup. There is an option to select English language on the 10000, 15000 and the 18000 series JPN region PS2 consoles instead of Japanese if one so wishes to do so. ^_~
