So, this last year I've been doing a bit of catching up on RPG's I've missed from yesteryear and the thought of playing some of the SNES classics via GBA/DS flash cart crossed my mind. Then it got me thinking, would playing it on a portable vs. on my SNES effect the overall experience?
Here are some potential benefits of each:
Playing on ye ol' SNES in the living room:
- More than on person can enjoy it. One advantage to playing on the SNES is my wife can just chill out on the couch and read/watch me play (which she thoroughly enjoys).
- "Big sound." Not that I have some amazing sound system, but it does sound nice.
- Easier on the eyes. I seldom tire of watching a big screen for long periods of time.
Playing on a portable:
- It's portable.
- Headphones. Localized sound won't bother anyone, and you won't be bothered by others.
What other factors are there?

Me, myself, I LOVE playing emulation on my PSP. I've had it over 3 years and I still play it almost every day on my lunchbreaks at work. I think the biggest benefit is: being able to play anywhere, continuing my same game seamlessly between work & home. Grab a couple of minutes here and there to play while the kids are watching TV or whatever. It's great

If more 2D people would go to the 2D Gaming Forum, there would be more people to talk about 2D games with other 2D fans on the tootie gaming forum. It's 2Dlicious. For real yall

Working 10 hours straight everyday is not exactly a good idea if you like to have something called "spare time to play games".
