Next time you go down you should take a torque wrench and a box of tools.

Hey I'm back home now.

Was very nice to see Taylor, CHI and mr_m0nks at Casino.. and talk about all things arcadey :D

I don't know how I did so well at Progear.. wasn't feeling too well and then I came out with a 17 million score. Wish I could have done so well in the STGT.
Grats to Taylor, Progear is such an annoying game.. I was done with it after my 3 credits, if only they had better games ;) I guess I'll have to play it more in the future.

I don't know how I beat Mushi with that broken screen, and with a broken stick.. which kept on killing me :( Shame about Pork not being there too.
The Unknown? I'm the one who knows!

Got nothing better to do so I'll be down again this Friday.

Though I'm guessing Pork still isn't there... It's like Casino doesn't want money. :/

Not been funny but this is taking the piss (not you but the situation)... Its an already fragile board (it seems) not to mention expensive going backwards and forwards god knows how many times for about 5 weeks now - maybe more....

If they can't be fucking arsed to install a pretty rare £500 board (or whatever it costs - I have no idea) and make some money then I am going to have to ask for it back soon.

Nothing against you Del of course...

Y'know you're right. When I actually cornered John's son for the installation, he said he didn't have the keys & that was probably a lie. He told me to come back the next day and see his father to install it.
Its like someone already said to me "They act like THEY are doing you the favour and not the other way around".
Took me three weeks to corner them for the IBARA install. This one is taking much longer :? .
ill6 - Gimme til friday night. I'll go down every night this week and if its not installed by friday then I'll hand it back to you (& of course the IBARA). They can shove Raiden Fighters 1 back in after that if this last try doesn't work out. They can shove the arcade too, cause its too much like getting blood out of a stone without Bob the engineer around on a permanent basis :x .

Regs,

ill6 and DEL, you both have the patience of a saint. It's unbelievable that even when presented with a no-strings-atached, guaranteed source of free pound coins on a silver platter, they don't even have the courtesy to allow instalation of the damn board. It's beyond lazy and is ludicrously backwards for someone allegedly out to make some money.

Here hoping that they give us the privelidge of allowing us to give them money some time before Friday.

if you can think of a good public place to put the cabs (like a gamestore or a pub/restaurant/poolhall or something like that?) i would be willing to give you guys a great deal on a couple of egret2s :)

maybe someone knows someone who has a backroom somewhere and wouldnt mind hosting 5-6 egrets for the coin take? (a well serviced properly advertised SF3:3S is a deadsure cashflow for instance)...

just a thought.

All the guys on Neo Empire whine about wanting somewhere else go.

Late Edit: Though I think they also asked for the KoF cab I've only seen one person use. So maybe that's irrelevant.

I drove down on the continuing mission tonight.
Met The Old Ash, then met John's son. They both talked to Bob (who's in Town) and Bob told The Old Ash that he will be down tomorrow night at 6.30pm to meet me and do the switch.

IBARA going straight back to ill6

Pork going in.

Uncle CHI will be pleased

I'm pleased - it's going to be pork rather than turkey for Christmas this year!

:D

If anyone knows where we could install Svens E2's and actually make some money, that sounds like a business investment I could get involved in. I have plenty of boards to keep things ticking over.
Del, let me know what you come up with

Woo! Feeling optimistic again now :)

I just blew up my only TV without horrible overscan so if we do have somewhere I might be able to donate something. Guess we won't be pursuing it now, though?

This is all so ridiculous! iLL6 and DEL - you're continuing efforts and generosity really are appreciated.

One of us just needs to win the lottery and buy us an arcade. Or maybe do a locksmithing course so we can open the cabs ourselves.

On a side note, sorry for my absence from the world of late. I’ve just started a new job at Develop magazine (a monthly print mag for the game dev industry – do you guys get it at work at all Taylor) and realising I love the job and it’s a great opportunity, I’ve been dedication myself to work a lot oflate. I will be back to Casino regularly in the new year though…

The office gets a collection of developer mags, I’ll have a look for develop. We used to get individual copies of MCV but that stopped when we moved office, which I guess, at 50 copies a week, means there’s a pretty impressive pile at the old office now...

I went down last night. It took a couple of credits to get used to the Sanwa on Pork. Plus the large & close screen makes losing your medal chain easier. The colours are a little bit muted on the cab, otherwise its fine.
I should be down on Friday.

Excellent! I'll be there on Friday too. From about 6.30pm - 9.15pm. I'm meeting RupertH there too, though only before we roll on somewhere else.

Out of interest, which cab did MMP go into? Ibara?

And I'll go and change the first post to reflect our new arrival...

EDIT. No I won't. The clue is there!

It went into the IBARA cab yes.
I'll trundle down at 6.30 and finish my Christmas shopping, circling back to Goodge for some pork.

EDIT:- spadgy & Rupert H, you left before my 1 Player credit which was a 116mil ALL. 19mil shy of the EOJ Rafute mark but its still early days  .

Wow! nice one DEL. And thanks for you advice with MMP. It helped immediately.

Such a shame the timing of our visits didn't over lap much. Still, good to see you and CHI and Rupert.

My immediate impression of Pork is that while I'm not sure how much I like the way it looks and sounds, I love the way it feels and plays...

Nice work DEL. I'm sorry I missed you giving that game what for. I really love the way MMP plays -- it reminds me of ESPGaluda and Progear with a bit of Raizing medaling thrown in for good measure. I think I'll be putting some serious time in on this one...
