Man with the Screaming Brain was awful. So I'm not hyped for this one.

Huge fan of Bruce but Bubba Ho-Tep really disapointed me; I stopped half way through.

looking forward to this movie. Bruce Campell is awesome in his own way, and fits perfectly with the b-movie'ish movies he makes.

Bubba Ho Tep didnt get me hooked the first time I saw it but when I started to think about it, it was actually a really funny story, and I enjoyed it more the second time as you already know whats going on and you start to notice the little things.

Does this movie have a releasedate yet?

I think it was officially released yesterday.
Anyway I've seen it and its great (but I'm biased).

Brimming with one-liners:

"Are you married or happy?"

"Don't blow anyone til I get back"

"You've been at the dog bowl again"

His book "If Chins Could Kill" is one of the funniest things I've read, he comes across as a very likeable and self-depreciating guy. Lots of amusing anecdotes on hollywood and his less than stellar career

I wrote:Bruce Campbell, king of B actors. He did another independent film. I saw it last Saturday.

The story goes, Bruce, playing as himself, is trying to get a legit gig from his agent who promises one on his birthday. He’s then asked to come to a podunk town to save them from some monster. The guy who asks him for help happens to be a (Lag caliber) giga-fanboy of Bruce’s who has inadvertently released the fucking God of War from imprisonment. The Chinese one. Bruce, thinking this is the surprise movie gig, goes after it not knowing it’s for real.

The plot and story are of course, absurd and not trying. This is a comedy with decapitations; the B and/or C-grade style you’d expect with enough of the violence and women-groping you come to know. The genuine laugh-your-balls-off parts are many of the one liners. You’ll get all your little cute Evil Dead references in this. The other great stuff is how Bruce Campbell portrays himself, his entire career, and how he shows and treats his hardcore fans. It’s like a 2D movie insulting you in 3D…like Bruce himself is in the audience, mocking your love for him. It’s fantastic in those regards. In truth, the first third of the piece is funny to all hell. The other two-thirds tends to cringe its way toward the finish line. ‘Kinda like that Tenacious D movie, but I didn’t sit through that one. I got through the My Name is Bruce though. The ending is great in that Death Proof sort of blind-sidedness. Oh, right- “”"Spoiler-alert”"” (!!!)…-or whatever you people do…

Is this supposed to be Evil Dead 4? Fuck no, kid. After the film, Bruce Campbell himself actually really did show up to answer questions and pretty much insult the audience for another half hour after the movie ended. One of the questions of course was “When’s Evil Dead 4?” to which he replied, “Did any of you want Indiana Jones 4?” The whole crowd shouted “no.” Then he ripped apart Harrison Ford for a minute. So yeah. No Evil Dead 4. That’s ok. The games were pretty meh. AoD ended well. All is settled.

My Name is Bruce is getting a tiny run of theater showings and will be available on DVD sometime down the road. This list is how you can see it anytime soon without your neighborhood torrent doin’ its business.

Niiice. I used to be pretty good friends with his nephew. So when his first book came out, all of us just hung out right next to the table where Bruce was signing shit. No restrictions on what it was though. Then Bruce hung out with us for a little bit after his set was up. He called me a knucklehead. Life was good.
Awesome :o
