The shmups that did not make it to your top 25 (#26 to #50)

Ok, so in the end (maybe like others) I thought the top 25 this year was a bit redundant and not as interesting as it might have been. The top 25s are pretty similar from year to year and from one member to another. It ends up with many people making comprimises to their list for the sake of diversity and the end results may be a bit unrepresentative.


I thought about something that will give us different and perhaps (I hope) more interesting result. Your top 26 to 50 shmups. That's right what shmup would you have put at #26,#27,#28,#29 up to 50.


And please if you had a hard time finding 25 shmups or filled up the bottom part of your list with random title please abstain from posting in this thread. This thread is intended for the people who have played hundreds of shmups over the years.


and remember no cheating: you cannot post games that you posted in your top 25 here .

-Please post your list only in this thread(you can inlcude some commentary though), if you want to discuss the idea or the games posted feel free to make a thread about it:: I will link to it from here
-NO partial lists (26 TO 50)
-you can post your list in the format you want, one game per line though
-include the version of the game if it is not arcade in parenthesis
-borderline games are allowed (Outzone, In the hunt, defender)
-NO top down action games like Mercs,Kiki kaikai, Ikari wariiors
-NO arena shooters

For curiosity or do you plan on tallying votes? Might not be many lists, since ranking does get tedious after about 3.
