I'm glad I didn't preorder the LE, because I prefer the original box art. But I still don't have anywhere to preorder that from though.

I think they usually render them from 3d models.
Cave has been doing this at least since ESP Ra.De. (read in an interview @ gamengai).

The limited edition cover is ridiculously embarrassing. The preliminary cover art for the regular edition, while not embarrassing, isn't great, either. :(

Wrong. X360 "SCART" video mode is indeed 240p RGBs (hardware selected, not in menu's).
So if I got a SCART cable for my 360, it would automatically output 240p?

Yeah, but that's only good for your SCART TV. If you want to run the thing on some other RGB monitor, you can hack a SCART cable. Or if you want to make your own cable from scratch, Page 7 of this doc shows how to activate different video modes: http://dwl.xbox-scene.com/tutorial/Xbox ... C-V1_4.pdf

can anyone list one game that does? I think the hardware selection would just select RGB that an SD TV can handle. Then it's up to the game, like the PS2.

:( 360 hacking is not coming along quickly enough. Still no region bypass, and xfps is the only way to use a PS2 controller. Well, maybe down the road.

At any rate, it would be pretty awesome to see a list of 240p 360 games if this is indeed true.

I have tried the XFPS and it suffers from input lag. It's crap.

Not to get off topic, but I read on SRK that the 3.0 or maybe the 3.0 plus or some form of the newer xfps adapters work without lag.

Scart RGB mode is 480i, not 240p. The 360 cannot do 240p.

This is Lego Starwars running with a hacked SCART cable on my friend's XBOX 360 to my Amiga 1080 (RGBs to the DB-9 connector).

Unless I'm mistaken about the capabilities of 1080 series monitors and they can run 480i via the RGB input, this is an XBOX 360 running 240p.

The Europe standard for a scart connection IS 480i. Progressive scan is not possible. At all times it will only be interlaced.

If your 360 is set to output via scart then its definately 480i.

480p is not possible. 240p is. otherwise you would not be able to play PS1 or some PS2 games with scart on those TVs. or saturn, or etc..

wrong, see NES. the scanlines just aren't as distinct as with RGB

do you think the 360 dashboard is also coming out in 240p when you connect a scart cable? no way. or that lego game. developers almost always use at least 480i these days. more resolution and looks better from far away. only arcade ports look better in 240p with your face to the screen. less flicker.

but I have hope the 360 can do it, if the game chooses to.
