Lolz, was just about to bump this. The deadline is somewhat nebulous at the moment, as I'm still looking for a talented artist(s) to design a front/back cover(s). Are you still up for doing the mastering, Eretsua?
I feel as though I've neglecting this lately, but since I've finally found a shitty job after a particularly terrifying 5 months of unemployment, I should be able to give it my full attention again

So we are aiming for an xmas present
?
I will start creating a web page, cover on top, tracks below in a table.
Table: title, original composer and name of mixer, then a small icon to click to download.
MX7 could you PM me the track list so I can create a skeleton page ?
The Coop, love your last submission

Final (this time really) version of my Gigawing remix.
Unmastered .wav will be uploaded as soon as I find somewhere to host it.

MX7- The title of my Raiden Trad remix is "Heading For Home v2". The "v2" is needed, as the first version (called simply "Heading For Home") was released years ago. The differentiation is important to me.
Also, the "v3" in my just posted "Bio Tech v3" (look a few posts above yours
) is important for the same reason.
rtw- Thanks

Just to clarify...
Artist - Title - Game
joeboto - Heart Beat - Batsugun
joeboto - Kiniro no hoshi furu utakata no yoru ni - Mushihimesama Futari
joeboto - Gallantry - Raiden
Should the track listing contain the original composer or should that be stored in the MP3 tag: composer ?

I filled out the ID3v2 tags on my remixes, and put the file names as name_game_song title.
For the ID3v2 tags, I filled out the lines like so...
"Title" (your remix title)
"Artist" (you)
"Year" (when you wrote your remix)
"Genre" (the musical style your remix was done in)
"Comment" (mentioning the title of the video game song that was remixed, what system the game was on, and the game title)
"Original Artist" (who wrote the original game tune you remixed)
"Copyright" (company that owns the game)
"URL" (namely, your homepage if you have one, or the site for the album to be grabbed)
"Encoded" (whatever program you used to make the MP3, like LAME)

I don't want to nitpick but shouldn't we use the "composer" field instead ? It doesn't really matter as long as we are consistent though...The Coop wrote:"Original Artist" (who wrote the original game tune you remixed)

Given that these are remixes, "Composer" could be either the artist that composed the remix, or the artist who composed the song that was remixed. "Original Artist" is a field that has always seemed to be specifically included for remixes, as the one who wrote the remix, may not be the one who came up with the song the remix is based on. It's specifically there to credit someone other than yourself if the need arises (unless of course, you remixed your own tune).rtw wrote:I don't want to nitpick but shouldn't we use the "composer" field instead ?
