I love padding and filler. And man tears.
My favoritest was that Kenshin episode that was a clip show... of the previous episode.
And that's why the Kenshin anime is still going strong to this day.
Where has all the manly violent anime gone?

I was talking about the manga. The anime series seemed kinda ok to me, but yeah, nothing much happens in one episode (although it's not as bad as, say, Dragonball - by far) and I stopped watching it after three or four episodes. There's simply no reason to watch it when you've read the comic.Momijitsuki wrote:
You aren't likely to find any one who doesn't hate Naruto outside of a shounen anime/manga community. :p
For the record, I watched a few episodes and dropped it as soon as I had picked it up. When I started watching, the only thought I had in my mind is 'okay, when is this going to become cool and badass like everyone told me it was?' It never did, so I dropped it. Believe it!
Still I'd say most of the hate comes from people that try very hard not to look too "hip" to other people; you know, avoid anything that might imply they like uncool stuff. Same with One Piece, another manga I enjoy reading. Once you're not a dumb teenager anymore, you should have enough confidence to admit liking dumb shit.
Each to his own I guess, but as a long time Guyver fan I thought the remake or whatever the fuck it's supposed to be blows ass harder than the Dragonball tv series. I watched the old and new versions of the fight where Enzyme kicks the Guyvers ass back to back, and the new version made me cringe every couple of seconds. I think it's horribly drawn, too.ArmoredCore wrote:guyver is bad ass especially the new 2005 remake one. Archenfal ftw!!!

The ENglish dubbing is incredibly cheesy, but if you're a certain kind of person it will add to your enjoyment quite a bit. I love it, and me & a friend toss around stupid one-liners all the time.FIL wrote:Guyver is a mixed bag, some of it is good, some of it is really bad. Unfortunately I can never remember which is which so I steer clear of it.
