i'd be up for submitting some scores, as you can do so through kelly flewin, canadian referee, on PAL vhs tapes. although they wouldn't accept neo geo scores from me because my motherboard (and therefore the dipswitch settings are presented in) is japanese :? rumour has it that scores only count if they're done at Funspot though
TG is the best of the best in web for arcade records in this range: 197x~1985.
for real.

try beating any twin galaxies score for a 1980's coin-op.

and to give credit where it's due: japan didn't even bother tracking scores at all until 1987

There are some scores before then, but only on a small scale. The aiva.emuita siterip has some scores from Mycom Basic Magazine dating back to 84/85.

There used to be a list of current Arcadia scores in English. That would be the scoreboard to go by. Anyone know what the record for Famicom Star Soldier is?

As far as I know Arcadia only keeps track of arcade game scores, as per it's name. Console-only game scores are anybody's guess.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

Hi guys,

the hi-score section on triggerzone has been updated last week and now features a "Ranking" system where each player is awarded with internal "Ranking points" depending on his score and the number of players.

Unfortunately the site is in german language: http://triggerzone.de/scores/index.php.

You can select the games from the dropdown menu at the bottom of the page. This is how the hi-score table for a game looks like: ESPGaluda ranking.

You would think Famitsu would keep track of Star Soldier . .
