Maybe in your area; I just saw it there a couple of weeks ago when I went to stock up on ramen noodles. :plilmanjs wrote:wal-mart doesn't carry it anymore. I asked for it a few months ago and they said they stopped carrying it.Momijitsuki wrote:I got Mushihimesama (PS2) for $70 from Zebra Airforce.
Raiden III can be bought at Wal-Mart for like 10 dollars now. :p

GG Aleste 1 for 25 dollars
A bunch of NES games, inculding Legacy of the Wizard and Magic of Scheherazade for free from my uncle
Final Fantasy 7 PSX for free from a friend
A bunch of Intellivision games (including some rare-ish ones like Thin Ice), two intellivisions, manuals, a couple intellivisions, and all the hookups needed, including a box that works great for hooking up multiple older systems for 15 dollars.
Gun Nac NES for about 7 dollars
GBC Shantae for 7 dollars.
Kururin Paradise for about 20 dollars, new.
Various GB games for cheap from Gamestop. Some like Great Greed and Kid Icarus were only $1.49. Tennis was only a penny.

None of my deals really stand out. I paid pretty good prices for almost all the shooters I have, but none were "steals" either.
The closest I can think of is getting a brand spanking new copy of DOJ (minus shrink wrap, but ... the CD felt like it had never been pulled from the case), for $35.
Giga Wing and Gunbird 2 for $25, both new for the Dreamcast was another pretty decent one.

Recently? I suppose picking up the USA Raiden Project for Playstation near mint and complete in the old longbox for scant more than 10 bucks at a Gamestop. Going back further, in 2001 a fellow forum member of a now defunct gaming forum sold me his Radiant Silvergun for $55. He didn't want to make any money off it at a gamer's expense - he just wanted the money back it had cost him.
*sniff* What a great guy that guy was. Hey guy, if you're out there - thanks.

Gley Lancer, complete and in great shape for $4 at (get this) an EB. The folks knew it was a Genesis game, but the name wasn't on their computer's game list. So, they put it in the "other" category they had back then with 32X games and such at the time, and that category went for a uniform $4.
Power Strike II at a flea market. It cost me about $6, and it was complete.
Apparently, Aero Fighters for the SNES was a good deal at $2.99 (cart only).
SMS copy of Ninja Gaiden (yes, there's an original NG game on the Master System). It was about $6 too, and complete as well.
Akumajou Dracula X: Chi no Rondo, missing only the spine card, for $40. Very good shape too.
MegaMan X3 for the SNES, great shape, cart only, for $10. A classmate wasn't happy with what EB was going to give him, so I offered ten. He accepted, we went to his car in the school the parking lot, he got the game out of his trunk, he got $10, and I got an expensive game for a lot less than what eBay lists it at.

-Ikaruga (GC) for $15. Most of the game stores I've been to charge more like 40 or 50.
-Nanostray (DS) for $5.
-Gradius Galaxies for $5. It also had 2 loop clear data for Easy and Normal, and 1 loop for Hard.
-R-Type DX for about $2.99.
-Not exactly a shooter, but Gunstar Super Heroes for $5 as well.
Didn't we once have a topic like this?
Gradius Deluxe Pack (PS) - €5
Steel Empire (MD, jpn) - €2
Musha Aleste (MD, jpn) - €10
Eliminate Down (MD) - €80
Choutetsu Brikinger (Neo Geo CD) - €80
Shock Troopers (MVS, complete kit) - €20
Donpachi (PCB) - €20
Raiden DX (PCB) - €50
OutZone (PCB) - €40

Oh, I forgot a shmup deal. I found a complete "big box" version of The Raiden Project for $10 at a flea market. Even the registration card was still intact, and the CD/Manual were in great shape too.
Now if I could just find a similarly conditioned copy of Einhander there to replace my current disc-only copy...

Bought a mint copy of Gradius Deluxe Pack PSX from some guy on Ebay out of Cali, took him a week to reply to me because he was out of town. Got the game with shipping for around $54 (I've seen it go far higher), felt like I walked away with a million dollars.

I got 'Last Hope' LE -FREE ! ! !
-its a long story, but my bank account had a few unauthorised transactions and my bank froze my account for a weekend and then reissued new debit cards to me.
In the meantime, a payment was supposed to come off to pay for Last Hope LE and also my new Nokia N95.
-Neither payment ever came off- so i ended up not paying for either.
I can only assume that the bank thought that they were both 'unauthorised' transactions as well and ended up paying them then replacing the money into my account!
How lucky was that?!?!?!
Other than that- i've got 'Trizeal' only paid about £20.00 for it from an ebay seller. -Surely worth more than that?!?!

I just a few days ago I won a JPN Megadrive on eBay for £1 which was nice.
I got Raiden on PCB for £15 because of a fault so small I've never noticed it.
Raiden DX and Gradius Gaiden (Promo Version) (Both JPN) for around £10 each was a pretty good deal too. Not amazing, but pretty nice prices in the UK. for something bought in an import store.

Got a free copy of Gradius V a few months after it was released. I bought it on eBay and it was taking ages to arrive, so I emailed the guy about it and, assuming there had been a mix-up with his supplier, he said he'd get 'em to send another copy out. Both flopped through my letterbox the very next morning. Weird!
Also got a mint copy of the Saturn version of Battle Garegga for £25 a couple of years ago. Not sure how much it tends to go for these days...

Got the entire Ibara figure set + OST & book for nothing.
Long story though.
