How pissed would you be...

Post by TLB »

...if you found out your friend didn't tell you your Swap Magic came several days ago, when you'd just finished modding your PS2 so you could open it up with the disc still spinning, and that he's going to be gone for another week and half, effectively preventing you from playing the copy of DOJ you've had sitting on your desk for ages for ANOTHER 2 FUCKIN' WEEKS, and endangering and prolonging the time until you get your copy of ESPgaluda to boot.

Just curious.

O...K...Not exactly sure what happened there, but let's just pretend the bottom option means something like "P-fuckin'-issed".

I put mildy because I'd have said, "Yo, my friend, when my parcel arrives in the mail at your house phone me up at once!"

But, why was it sent to your friend's house? :? There's your problem.

The friend whose PayPal I was mooching (=P) didn't know my address and was too fuckin' lazy to ask, I guess. He gets his shit sent to that friend 'cause his parents are dicks about things like that, so that's what he did. I'm going to set one up myself pretty soon; lots of people I know just aren't responsible with shit that isn't theirs. Can you set it up with a US checking account, or does it have to be a savings or other?

You should be able to open a PayPal account with a US checking account just fine. Were you issued a card that you can use like a credit card with it?

Don't upgrade to Premier unless you want to use a credit card, accept credit card payments, deal with large sums (to eventually withdraw), and give Paypal a % of every payment you recieve.

Although, using a credit card can help in those unfortunate incidents where the seller doesn't send you your goods, as you can do those credit card charge back thingies (never had to do it myself).

No, but I was thinking of asking for one. Are there any kind of criteria...?

Usually a visa-backed debit card is issued with a checking account (from my experience). Maybe you have to be 18 for them to issue one?

Anyway, as far as Paypal goes, when you sign up for a basic account all you need is to enter is your bank account # and the routing number (both can be found on your checks). Then over the next few days PP will deposit a tiny amount, like 10 cents or something into your bank accnt, and you enter that amount in on the website as confirmation.

Ahh, thanks so very much, guys =) I'm still kinda pissed, but by then I'll probably be starting to bore of Silent Line, I'll go back to Ikaruga, I'll start saving up for a 360 (fuckin' AC4 and For Answer and all my friends insisting on playing Halo and CoD on XBL, Jesus! I want MGS4 so bad, but I guess I'll have to wait until years after its release, just like every other MGS I had to wait for...Not to mention DOJ BLEX and whatever else we get...Fuck Microsoft, seriously.), maybe I'll even go back to Gunbird 2 or BWR (GOD GB2's SO UGLY ON DC WHYYY)...Or Contra 4...or Commando: Steel Disaster...or maybe I'll beat Super Robot Taisen Original Generation after months and months of being on the last fight...or maybe I'll go back to Gradius V...or maybe I'll - *GASP!* - do some homework! I've got so much unbeaten shit around here it's not even funny...don't know why I keep buying games =P Oh wait, yes I do. I snatch up everything I see that I know's good and that I like. Duuuh. Wish someone would buy all my stuff so I wouldn't feel so guilty ^_-

Annd, the Ramble Fairy has struck again, sweet. And that's with some pretty heavy restraint.

I'd be super pissed. But only cause i'm an impatient dude. Why not try breaking into his apartment? If he's really your friend, he'll understand. Thats what I did once. I let my friend borrow my DC and well, we "lost touch" for awhile, so I broke into his apartment and got my shit back. Friends.

If he didn't live with his parents, I totally would. He told me right where it was and I know where the key to the back door is. But I don't wanna wreck his or his parents' trust. I could extrapolate more but I'm hungry and I gotta piss =P

I don't know about the breaking in no matter how good of friends you are. It's just a game...
Maybe if it was the antidote to the poison you just injested.

I'd say, if you don't have a Paypal account, try to keep it that way.

When you have an account, it becomes way too easy to spend obscene amounts of money, even if it's just a bit at a time.

When buying stuff becomes very troublesome as you have no doubt experienced already, you tend to do it less often, hopefully, and thereby saving your money!

I did my research, and Swap Magic was the right option for me =P

And about getting even...I'm trying to think of a good way to do it, so he wouldn't even realize I'd done something, or at least done it purposefully =P

Alright. Is there a way to swap PS2 discs like there is with PSOne discs without having a Swap Magic or something? I’m getting pissed and impatient. And I don’t wanna lay at my computer all night playing BWR/+ wrecking my wrists crossing and laying on them =P If not…I guess I’m just gonna have to clean up my room and change it all around so I can get my computer up on a desk somewhere or something. I’m out of time again, so if I had something else to say, it’s going to have to wait =P
