Five on five isn't a war, it's a Halo party. Chips and dip, chips and dip.

This is funny because I hadn't heard of this comparison before and he mentions this in his most recent video.

Should just rename this thread to shump youtube thread 2 or something, so we can talk all about starsoldier1.

Mars Matrix should be on every console so this wouldn't be an issue. Can't stop thinking about it when I play stupid Ketsui Death Label.

Rob, are you ever going to get those old vids up? I thought you were given links to the original ones that had been saved. Am I mistaken?
Some of the best shmups don't actually end in a vowel.
No, this game is not Space Invaders.

Most old ones are gone. I would like the Progear one and maybe Gradius V, but I didn't back them up. A few I put up for a while - I just don't think they were good enough to leave up (and I think I have the bar set pretty low). Others I might just redo eventually (Forgotten Worlds).

I'd rather keep euroshmup as the inaccurate comedy insult that it is than to play and cover actual euroshmups. I also like to play fun games, like Aegis Wing.

Sounds like a job for someone who cares about sub-Cave scoring systems. I'd watch it, though.

Sucks.

The original Mars Matrix one was awesome.

TF VI

Great review.

Can you elaborate on the scoring system a bit? Can't quite understand ya at the beginning of the vid.

Even as a hardcore Ketsui DS fanboy I really enjoyed your review of that game. I guess that says something about your style!

Btw, is that you playing Extra mode with Type A and reaching Doom? Could you upload that, maybe? Because it looks very intense. I can only reach the long stretch where the midboss would appear with the tanks so far.

If you want footage of Extra, there's an all-clear vid at http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm5159921

Certain mid-large sized enemies have a green target and you get a multiplier for killing them (too) quickly. Fairly inconsistent, since you don't have to kill them really fast to get the full x16 sometimes and I think it's possible to kill nearly everything really fast.

Yeah. I was happy to make it to the end of the stage, unhappy to see Doom (not that it was a big surprise). Looks like croikle has you covered on the replay.
