Okay, so the shooters at the arcade are as follows:

- Giga Wing
- Giga Wing 2
- Ibara
- Shikigami No Shiro III
- Strikers 1945 Plus
- Progear
- Shock Troopers 2nd Squad
- Time Crisis 1 (coming soon)

Time Crisis 1 is coming in just because it's a rare shooter these days and the owner just had to snatch it up. Okay, so what I'm thinking is if I can find out which shooters are the best upcoming and stuff I'll go ahead and buy them. I hear there's a new Death Smiles game as well. Anyway, these are the games I'm thinking of getting for the arcade:

- Espgaluda II
- Ibara Black Label
- Pink Sweets - Ibara Sorekara
- Mushihime-sama Futari
- Muchi-Muchi Pork
- DeathSmiles
- Mushihime-sama Futari Black Label
- Do-Don-Pachi Dai-Fukkatsu

Feedback or thoughts would be much appreciated.

mushi futari (i very much prefer BL) and deathsmiles are real crowdpleasers, both are accessible to the non-initiated and the look/sound/play amazing.

priority 1 id say.

pink sweets and ibara BL arent even popular on this site so put those way down at the bottom of the list.

strikers 1945+ and shock troopers 2 are outright bad games, switch em out immediatley, if you want to keep the NEOGEO in just switch em for blazing star/twinkle star/ shock troopers/ top spin (these are all tried and tested, i once had 4 6slots in my old arcade and aside from garou, samsho2 and puzzleB these were the only games people played).

i think having 2 gigawing games is a bit over the top aswell, i suggest you switch one of them out (whichever is the least popular).

Also, ESPGALUDA is a lot more accessible than ESPGALUDA II.

Ha, if an arcade had DDP:DFK near me, I'd probably wind up failing out of college.

How well do the puzzle games do? I assume there's already Magical Drop 3. The biggest arcade draw for me and most people is competition. If you have open-minded fighter/shooter fans try:

Senko no Ronde
Virtual On Oratario Tangram
Psychic Force 2012
Twinkle Star Sprites (neogeo)

Senko no Ronde in particular is very flashy and looks smooth, is an amazing game, and has the anime aesthetics all the weeaboos go for (this last bit being the reason Death Smiles is popular).

I was thinking about Virtual On but wasn't gonna make it top priority. Also, I guess I'll be getting Twinkle Star Sprites as well.

Anyone know of any HD shooters as well that are really good? There's that new 37" HD vertical machine and I'd love to put a vert game in there. Would be sick. Well, HD games in general, I'd just go ahead and get an HD cab for it.

Oh no, I think I might have misworded what I meant. I mean any shooters that are HD.

as it stands the few of us that make up the shmup community here are content to meet at my house and play on my cabs

arcades are meant to bring people together to play....if i wanted to play by myself i would stay home....and i do

we could go to the arcades and play (not necessarily newer cave titles obviously)....but when i have better cabs and games at home and play is free.....arcades seem kinda pointless
For jonny5,

What you are referring to is the "personal arcade" -- one's own personal collection of arcade PCBs and some woodies and/or Japanese candy cabs as well. When you stop and think about it, you are your own arcade owner, manager and customer all rolled into one person. ^_~
