According to inside sources she had considerable gaps of knowledge of the US governmental system and a hard time understanding some fundamentals of the world we live in, and she refused proper tutoring.

For instance, she thought that Africa was a country, not a continent.
She didn't know that the members of NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement) are Canada, Mexico and the USA.

Hard to believe she was even elected governor.

In short: Palin is an uneducated, ignorant and stupid bitch.

not related, but might as well mention it here:

Rush Limbaugh was just proclaiming that the Republicans were not able to choose their candidate for this election.
He is purporting that the "Media" and Democrats chose McCain by .... well, I didn't quite grasp his lack of substantive points...

I guess he was saying that because some states have open Primaries where voters can vote across party lines,
well because of that he is saying the Republican candidate (McCain) wasn't actually put forth by the Republican Party, but rather by the media and subversive Democrats.

Holy Shit! are these people for real.

They did the exact same thing to Clinton - by claiming that "the media" is who REALLY elected him, they did their darndest to de-legitimize his Presidency, and used the results as free license to dog him on every insignificant scrap they could get their hands on. Surprise surprise, they're doing it again.

Jesus could descend from heaven and declare "This guy won the election legitimately" and they'd still find some way to say it wasn't so. It cannot be acceptable that "REAL America" could ever want someone other than them in the seat of power.

He is saying that the "them" that they were fighting for (McCain/Palin) was not really "them", because it was actually a choice forced upon "them" by the Media and Democrats.

Honestly, very few politicians are devoutly religious. Look at Bush; sure he''s spouted plenty of rhetoric but what has he actually done for churches besides just oppose pro-choice legislation? That's why so many of these right-wing leaders were caught up in questionable acts in recent years: because they really don't fear god more than they enjoy their carnal pleasures.

Well of course TV determines who wins. It's been that way since the election of 'Ole Sweaty Dude vs Awesome Hair Guy.

The way they spend money like water is what disgusts me the most. John's $400 haircuts, Hilary's $40008701 fancy hotel rooms, Palin's $180000 clothes spree.. it's like voting a god damn king into office, not a person or a human being.

(What kind of things does Barack like to burn dough on? If it's ice cream for himself, that he refuses to share with his daughters, then he's my personal hero.)

I mean, this seriously bothers me more than the felonies, blatant abuse of power, hypocrisy, and gay sweaty bathroom sex with total strangers.

Also, I'm not sure if this is sour grapes or what. I was thinking that Palin was not as dumb as people thought, just prone to being uselessly wordy without a purpose, but this has me wondering.

In any case, if she makes a return to high-level politics, we'll be able to ask the same questions all over again and hopefully the American electorate will make the correct decision once again. Yay!

Not all American women are petty and vindictive. I was actually insulted by the fact that McCain picked a female running mate as I felt it was done to win over the Hillary votes (becus we all know that women are stupid enough to vote for a candidate simply because she is a woman *sarcasm*)

I certainly don't. But just because the Africa thing was made up, that doesn't mean Palin is not an idiot. After all she *does* believe the earth was created 6,000 years ago (and we along with it), and she did display ignorance regarding NAFTA etc. in debates. The story about her shopping sprees using campaign money appears to be true, as well, as is the story about her trying to have a librarian fired who didn't want to go along with censorship.
