Sooo..I took the Warhammer 40k plunge tonight

Well, since my gf is batshit insane over her newfound love LRH, I decided to start kicking it with her brother as of late. As I may have told you in the past, he is a serious WH40k nut. I mean, SERIOUS as in stay home on a friday night painting figurines and making terrain while listening to metal. Well, anywho, he invited me to join his gaming club to see what the whole scene is all about.
Well, i'm in their basement watching the gaming going down and one of his friends asked about my (ex?)girlfriend. Her brother(Jordan) told him that she joined a local church. Well, we get started playing and about 30 or so minutes into the campaign, one of the guys hooks up his ipod and starts blasting what could be described as "heavy metal". The other guys start grinning and banging their heads and whatnot. Of course being the lone short haired person so I was like "uhhh....k, right, sounds good". They told me it was their band. Something called Blood Boyz or Blood Ork Choppaz or something like that. They sing about Warhammer stories and shit. Like they wrote a song about the Ork rage war or some goofy shit like that. I once again nodded my head and tried to get back into the game. This is the most un sci fi game evar. Plus some of the guys were acting like bitches not letting me pick up their figurines. If my girl wasn't into all that tech crap, i'd be getting pussy right now.
Plus I don't like the fact that you have to roll dice for EVERY DAMNED THING you wanna do. If I wanna take a shit, roll die. Jesus. THis game is not fun. Just tedious and boring to play, thought I got to admit, I love the artwork and hobby aspect. I guess i'll go back to being a vanilla nerd.

The first time I found out about this crap I didn't think it was a bit different than the collect 'em all card game scams. You have to invest some serious money and effort into the tiny figurines to have fun.
