quick PS2 question regarding memory cards
quick PS2 question regarding memory cards
does anyone know if ps2 memory cards are region locked or can i just anyone to work on my japanese ps2? thanks

The PS2 memory card are region free...I've got some PS2 memory cards that have both USA & Japanese PS2 game saves on them. You can even save both USA and JPN PSX game saves on a PS2 memory card for posterity is another plus. ^_~
Back in October 2000, for the intial USA PS2 console launch, SCEA underestimated the demand for such official PS2 memory cards...they were virtually nowhere to be found after the big day launch. Plus the fact that such early USA PS2 console adopters had to fork over a $34.99 USD fee for one. Yeah, I had to bite the bullet and buy one at that particular MSRP price back in April of 2001. Thank goodness, the PS3 uses it's internal HDD to save such PS3 game saves nowdays. ^_~
