It is hardly a BAD SUB-PAR game.

Bad, sub-par forum contributor, imo.

Thread should be locked, member should be baned and not allowed to return to forum until he 1cc on Hard mode.

(no, seriously.)
lol are you serious? I'm not sure if your joking or not but if you are then you can disregard this reply.

Every member here is entitled to an opinion, just because you disagree doesn't mean that a person should be banned to have an opinion.

Also people can enjoy their game anyway they want. Not everyone has to 1cc a game on hard to enjoy it.

I read this a couple of times where players would tell other players how to enjoy a game.

Everyone has their own preference, it's the same as having their own opinion and standards.

Yeah, this nearly discounts ST Dragon's impressions,
Being ST Dragon also does this.

It's not screeching enough for me. It's like bird song compared to what I'm used to.

Don't worry, you don't need to be in the zone to play TF6. ST Dragon beat it.

Finaly i have play the game and i have to admit that i`m little bit disappoint . Many have said that TF V is inferior compared to TF IV, but i say (from my point of view) TF VI is inferior than TF V.
The points that make me disappoint is :

- Option window. On TF V, for me the option`s window display are well designed. While on TF VI, when i try to listen on the BGM... well, you know it how.
- If only when the battle on earth were play able too, it will very great
- we saw Phoenix were using Brigandine unit when on Earth orbit, its make me irritating to know that we can`t use it
- The stages are to short. Its even shorter than TF V (for me)
- The music... i don`t say it bad, just not to match for TF VI and some of it even funny (for me) that is : stage 5 and 6. For me it sounds like suddenly we were playing Gradius or even Twin Bee game... its
too cheerful ^^; stage 6`s BGM when using Phoenix are also shocking too me. Its just give me some weird sensation, "Electric Mind" of TF V are far intimidating. BUT there some music that i love very much, hat is : the opening, the ending, Ruined green, and some of the boss battle
- The final battle are not too exciting, i mean i could only lost one or two ship even on maniac mode (but maybe that because i use Syrinx), the battle with Guardian are more thrilling to me. I never found any shooting game where the ending are depend on our final battle. Beside, its ORN emperor that we fought here not the Guardian, the one that has been nearly obliterate the Federation from more than 100 year.
- This one is minor detail, but on the beginning of Stage 5, some unit of Rynex are pursuing Cerberus Orn along us, but lather then i didn`t saw any ship that do so. I would hope it would like stage 5 of TF IV when we were pursuing the Battle Ship while other STYX helping us to doing so (although what they done are useless ^^;). If only the chase of other Rynexs for other Cerberus orn are shown on the background like Stage 5 of TF V, i believe it would add some good point there.
That are some of the point where i disappoint. And like i said that there is "some" disappointment, the other things are acceptable. The graphic ? well, i play a game based on how fun the gameplay, not because of the graphic, so TF VI`s are find to me. And the most important are the story. Now we know a little thing about Carol T. Mars and Roi S. Mercury after their final battle with Orn Faust on TF IV.
And i remember there some one said that this is TF with the shortest tittle. Well, i believe most of you guys already cleared this game on hard mode using RYNEX or SYRINX, and on the end of FMV we could see the complete tittle : "Thunder Force VI the Legend of Wing to be Continued" i hope there is next TF series to be produce, and far better than this one.
Maybe you guys think that i just common player of TF series. But really, i love TF verymuch. Just by thinking about Thunder Force could cheer me up, and how i love TF ? please visit this page

and one thing.... please forgive me for my terrible English ^^;

Gave TF6 some more time over the weekend, and gained some appreciation for it. First I was disappointed with it, since I was expecting more from the newest entry in a long-loved STG series, especially when it's debuting on the same console as Gradius V and R-Type Final. But I see that the developers wanted to keep things basic, and it works out for the game.

As it stands, TF6 really isn't bad at all. Give it a chance.

And if it's already been said, then it bears repeating:
ST Dragon is out of what fucking mind he has to compare a professionally developed game to Broken Thunder.

I'm overall happy with the game as well. I was a little dissapointed at first too and it felt a little rushed to me but then I unlocked the IV ship and started to notice all the nice little nods and things, like the special attack that looks like when you're fully powered in gynoug, and then it became much better and I've been playing it a lot. I really like the music too, the fire stage with the IV ship gives me Amiga vibes :) Btw I can't believe the complaints about the story, who cares.. its a friggin' shooter

I have received this game (finally!) and I have to say that I am VERY pleased with it.

With the few plays I put in this afternoon, I already like it better than Thunder Froce V (which I had been playing for the last 3 days)

I am very enjoyment of this new shooting game and find it an excellent and fun game!

Thunder Force III will always be my favorite as it hold a special place in my heart and I have many emotion tied to it…

I may love Thunder Force VI more than Lightening Force by the weeks end *shurg*

I personally didn't like this game too much. It doesn't feel right for a number of reasons:

- Things in the game lack "solidness" to them. Often it doesn't feel like you're hitting big enemies and their explosions are somewhat unconvincing. Also, they don't have smaller parts that blow up as you shoot them, thus they look perfectly ok and suddenly blow up :s.

- The levels are hit and miss. Fire level is a perfect example of this. It was short, lacked variety, and it was hilarious that the fog in the background is just a paper cutout.

- Feels like been there done that.

And yes, I forgive you for your bad English.

Alpha effects should be banned in shmups. This game is like playing TF3 with a wall of fog blocking the TV.

LOLS
Thunder Spirits playing for me was done on the SNES…

My memories are of a choppy and jagged game playing experinece… My heart was in the Sega Genesis for shooting enjoyment over the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
