Gregoire is winning the Governor's position in Washington by a hefty margin. Kind of sad, given how horribly she governs. She only won by a 129 vote margin in 2004. After she ordered two recounts.

"I'm so excited because Obama shares our town's name. But even if the town was called McCain, I would still support Barack Obama," said dancer Masayo Ishibashi, 44, wearing a Hawaiian skirt.

'Also toasting Obama was a local band called Anyone Brothers Band, who blared an electrical guitar for a song with the refrain "Obama is Beautiful World."'

I was floored by McCain's speech. Sadly, he showed more presidential potential then than compared to previous months.

I need to find a transcription of Obama's speech. Truly wonderful.

I'm glad there'll be someone in office who can at least form actual sentences. :D

Massachusetts decriminalized weed, but kept their income tax.

How dare you call them worthless! Do you know how much I hate driving to campus in Florida? With all of those crazy drivers, and not to mention, lack of parking?

Up with the trains, dammit!

Up with trains indeed!

Also, reportedly only three countries polled thought McCain would be a better President: Israel, Georgia, and the Philippines.

Not so sure about the Philippines.

Amazing! Amazing news! I stayed up until 3.30am GMT watching, and then fell asleep until 5am, so I missed the moment Obama reached 270 votes, but I caught the speeches. I'm exhausted, but boy am I happy!

The icing on top of this election is that the entire world is enthralled with it, and generally happy with the results... despite 4 years ago when they were completely and utterly fucked off.

But seriously, America has been stuck in a revolving door for 8 years. Maybe they'll start seeing some good out of this.

Polling stations here in Chicago were crazy busy while I was driving to work in the morning, with lines around the block for most of them. I'm pretty happy with the results and even thought to go down to the rally in Grant Park for Obama, but decided to try and finish Castlevania III instead. I guess I have a bit of lethargy about this election, and that anyone would be better than what we had.

Na-derrrrr Na- Na-derrr, Na-derrrrr Na- Na-derrr...

I think the strangest thing of all this is that past seasons of 24 have suddenly become more relevant...

Also in finishing moves, I hear the W is getting divorced after his term? That's awesome.

This is good news. This Presidential combo breaker Is definitely going to inspire a whole lot of people to do better things with their loves. That's what I hope anyway.

In any case, comedians are going to have to work a helluva lot harder than they have for the last eight years.

If Obama causes The Daily Show and Colbert Report to lose quality I will impeach him myself

That said, I'm pretty happy about how the election went, though I'm seriously disappointed about prop 8.

I blame mexicans.

Did somebody mention trains?

How did California proposition 1A fare? Last I heard was that it had a narrow lead.

I don't live in California, or the USA, I just like cool trains.
