MX7 wrote:Hey, does anyone know what Zweihander thinks of this game?
No, i sure don't.
Because it's not like he said anything about Ketsui DS in the past weeks at all.
Well, now he's told us, he doesn't need to tell us again, right? Because someone typing the same thing over and over would bore everyone to tears and completely destroy whatever argument he was trying to make, yeah?
hell yah... i still wonder, if he doesnt like the damn game, and he pirated, what is he still doing here?... the ones who bought the game are happy with it (im one of those), and yet, he still complains, when all he did was to go to his favorite torrent or rom site, and get the game...
I don't care about it; if I wanted to watch it that badly, I could simply download the torrent.
If you need some beer you just go and steal it?
Awesome idea man.
P.S. well, i use rom too, but if game get US realeas i will grab it with no doubt
Great example, P_HAT...unfortunately, it doesn't really make any sense.
Copying is NOT stealing (taking away from somebody), no matter how much you twist it.
The DVD is nice and all but only for people who have access to the arcade game. If Ketsui would be emulated I'd go for the DS package.
However, I enjoy it so far, though think it feels more like Cave styled Rrootage than a full game. Good for some training on the go but certainly not a full price product like Bangai- O Spirits or Space Invaders Extreme.
Hopefully, this is just the beginning. As a downloadable title on the new DSi things like this could be quite successful.

Copying stuff you don't have the rights to is NOT legally, morally, or ethically defensible, no matter how much you twist it. I thought I typed shmups.system11.org into my browser's url bar, not DSroms.system11.org . . .
I bought this cause, like GP said, $52 for a ketsui superplay DVD is a shitload cheaper than $150 for the INH ketsui superplay. The game for a system I don't own ( and wont own until they come out with a d-pad that is at least half as good as the gba micro ) is just filler.
CStarFlare wrote:I think the old DS pad works better for Ketsui.
Sadly everything ever looks twenty times better on a DS Lite.
I wonder if it would somehow be possible to transplant a phat D-pad into a lite? Or alternately, put the lite screens into a phat?
(scheming now...)
i dont think so, if im not mistaken, the D-Pad on the Phat is a lil larger than on the DSLite... and maybe im one of the lucky bastards, since i feel the D-Pad on my DSLite is kinda perfect (i never tried a Phat anyway).
with this game in particular, all i had to do was put the bomb button on the R-button and everytime i can, i play as much as i can ... i just suck at doom mode.. i cant get past the 3rd loop with the defaul 3-4 lives.

actually, it makes total sense. someone had to work to make that beer. someone had to work to make ketsui ds. just because it is now a file on your computer doesn't make it any less tangible or worth any less. you stole the game (or in this made-up case, the superplay), despite the lies you'll tell yourself. the law is very clear on this.

Those fuckin' cards! In the UK they postman pre-writes it, tiptoes up to your door, and hides. He watches you pace about as you look at your watch waiting for the post. Then, the second you give in and rush to the loo, he leaps out and rings your doorbell for 1/10th of a second before slipping the card through. You dash out, and he's already 100 yards down the road in his van cackling. You go to pick up your package at 6am, queue for an hour, and then somebody with no voice takes your card and shuffles of for 30 minutes before returning to you with no package and your card, which gets handed back with the word 'Sorry'...

You don't get to call your own burns, but I'll admit that if you don't no one will.
(Elixer doesn't count)

Why would someone in the Ukraine wait for a US release
Anyway I think Ikeda 4Koma is a pretty cool meme, eh is in ketsui ds and doesnt afraid of anything
MrMonkeyMan wrote:If you beat Death Label mode you get Extra mode which is a remixed stage 5. You only get two lives, and no extra lives this time.
It's probably the multiplayer stage, but I can't test that.
It's actually more fun than the rest of the game.
:O Shweet! Well, that's probably why it's the last thing you unlock =)
Lucky thing we've got the Incredible Gamekilling MrHotShot, the Lord of Ketsui, to be able to beat it so quick to confirm this wonderful detail =) Now I REALLY can't wait =)
It's the same as in the PCB original. But I guess you hear it a hell lot more often, so this can get seriously annoying
Both versions shoot this sound up your arse with spikes on each side to let you know that you severely suck. Showing that you suck, that's what Ketsui is all about!

YESSSSSSSSS
I already abandoned all hope to be able to play that stage. I was already starting to be a bit pissed off on that life-increase mechanism, but it sounds like this stage and the Doom mode will still be perfect for scoring. I´m pretty sure that this is the multiplayer stage - preventing people from playing the only proper stage in single player mode would have been a major asshole move.
A question: How many bosses does Death Label mode have? I´m fearing that it´s all of them with twice as much bullets. Will take a long time to life-unlock-and-bomb-spam my way through it

!
My stupidest GAME OVER sound vote goes to Espgaluda. "Gayme Ou-Vurrh"

This is completely inaccurate.
Anyway, I still don't know why there are no stages, but its a fun game. Hopefully decent sales will encourage companies to look into releasing versions of other shooters into the DS. While not the perfect platform, I do think the DS is capable of making very playable shooters that would be great for quick 5-10 minute bursts here and there on a work break, while waiting for someone in a cafe etc.
