Post by Ceph »

Has anyone who owns a PS3 and a PSP tried this yet?

I too would like to hear of this. I have a PS3/PSP- but I bought the game on 360 (my ps3 doesn't get used much at all). Curious to see how this works out- the game itself is wonderful!

I have it.. remote play would be nice without the lag, and lag makes this game unplayable. It works pretty good for rpg's, but anything that requires any sort of timing is no good.

Agreed. It becomes a blurry, laggy, unplayable mess. I can see how Grin wanted to give us the option, but did anybody actually playtest it via remote play? It's obviously not their fault, but it seems like a huge waste of time for them to offer such an unplayable option.

You can tweak the options for better graphics and less lag, but it's still a pain (I've only tried Pixeljunk Monsters and Mainichi Issyo). Maiissyo is fine, but I don't see anything else working.

There is also a future feature where psp games can be played with the dualscok2/sixaxis ps3 controller, but the psp games would have to have this feature built into the game itself. If that would be possible the psp might one day be considered an actual console you can connect to your tv and play with a wireless controller!
Not sure, but I think that that is what I read.

The PSP Resistance will support it. The PSP-2000 and 3000 models also support TV-out, so you could just play it as a normal, if crap looking, console game.

The more interesting use for remote play was to have the PSP as a side mirror for racing games (F1CE and GT5). Unfortunately it was dropped, don't know if it's ever coming back.
