Lords of thunder (sega cd)

Post by ryosnk »

I just noticed on craigslist a guy selling a complete copy of lords of thunder for the sega cd for $18 and ghost pilots for the neo geo for $18 also.

Are those good prices to get them and are they good versions?

I guess $18 for a complete US Sega CD LoT is a solid deal. $18 for Ghost Pilots is ok... but do you honestly want the game? It's incredibly lacklustre and downright boring.

Thanks, I might just go ahead and get both since I dont own a Turboduo or cdplayer and I need at least one shmup for my fighting game library of neo geo games.

Lords of Thunder is better on the Turbo(was made for it), but, the Sega CD version is a good port.

Ghost Pilots...even though the name is extremely cool, the game isn't.
Its the one Neo-Geo shmup that nobody plays.
There's nothing "wrong with it "per se", its just "un-eventfull".
Its maybe 1- 3rd the fun/ excitement of FirePower 2000(SNES)

Lords of Thunder on Sega CD would be worth it. Mind you, that rev is incredibly easy, though it's a beautiful game.

Not as coloutful as the DUO version & the music isn't as cool, but it's a good conversion & it's worth that price.
It's too easy though.

As for Ghost Pilots it's not that great but for a NEOGEO cartridge 18$ is not that much.
