I've played this to hell and back. I've been off it for five years or so though.

I've tried it before, but I cannot for rime nor reason make out the patterns. I've been told it's mathematical, which would explain that!

if i can't get my expert time below 100 seconds for 99 mines by the end of the month, i'm just gonna give in. the beginner and intermediate i'm happy with (5 and 35), but i just can't let the other one go... like, an hour a day, every day... :!:

I do like Minesweeper, but I get very pissed at it because this kind of situation happens all the time:

Too many times having to resort to luck killed the game for me. Nowadays I only play FreeCell out of the windows games.

EDIT: Speaking of which, this might interest you: http://br.youtube.com/watch?v=-CH-Kx2sl9c

Don't bother trying it though, it's an April Fools Joke.

Weirdness:

The Vista version of Minesweeper sets off your 360 pad's rumble when you lose. wasn't expecting that.

I think my record time for beginner is like 5 seconds. Mostly luck of course!

i just made the mistake of checking out planet-minesweeper.com

thread is gonna be renamed "do you have a mild passing interest in windows desktop games?" :!:

top times listed are:
beginner - 1 second
intermediate - 10 seconds
expert - 38 seconds

watching 39/40 second replays on da 'tube, they look incredibly fake - which is just about the highest compliment you can receive
