What do we think about Terminator tv show?

I am a big fan of robot themed movies/shows...but I hate this one.

A teenage female terminator that goes to high school and gets into situations obviously made to attract the 15 to 19 skate board geek crowd. T3's female terminator had T & A inserted into the show but at least she was all action. This female terminator is more like a new millenia version of the 70's "Bionic Woman". Its a formula that doesn't work for this type of show.

The Terminator movies had nice one liners and quips like "I'll Be Back" but this one has stale soccer mom jokes like "You get the machine guns, I'll make pancakes"...I cringed.

And once again, this John Conner is a mega-wimp. For someone who's supposed to be saving the world in the future, the guy sure is a pansy...I mean the women in this show wear the pants...John C. stays at home locked up in his room while Sarah and the "tween terminator" go out and save the universe.

The only cool part of the show is the Terminator thats chasing them...rebuilding himself along the way. Other than that, you can trash this show along with The new Bionic Woman show and Cavemen.

rate 4/10 suckage.

Actually, Cameron's one liner in the series is "thank you for explaining". Have you really seen the whole season? Sarah Conner a soccer mom? Hell no.

Well, he's still a kid after all. But I guess it'll change in the upcoming seasons. The women are supposed to be very strong - a trend in SF tv series nowadays it seems (see new battlestar galactica). Is that really such a big problem?

The show is excellent, ignore the naysayers. On the internets, the few naysayers are always way louder than the mass of fans.

OMG Shirley Manson. I haven't bought/listened to any of her records since I was about 18 and she looks exactly the same as she did then.

Nice surprise at the end of the season opener.

The show is excellent and I'm willing to bet that the naysayers here watch crap like desperate housewives and other insanely pathetic reality shows. Honestly if you think Summer Glau isn't doing a fantastic job with her part then you shouldn't be allowed to breath my air. j/k but still, I was one of the MANY skeptics on this series and the first season is remarkable, yes probably up there with X-files, Twin Peaks, Samurai Jack, and other top tier AAA shows.

If you watch the show it makes perfect sense that a teenager-looking terminator is sent back to protect the TEENAGER John Connor... have you guys lost all your brain cells playing Shmups or something???

Too many female terminators. The show is turning into an action flick for MILFs and young chicks. The alpha male of the show is playing the dissenting female role.

WEIRD.

I don't like the direction its heading.

OK, what game was the kid playing in episode 5?
He was holding a 360 controller I think, but the game looked very cool.
Like a 3D Metal Slug, but it might've been Smash Brothers Wii.
Any thoughts?

I could not find a video on youtube, I looked.

I thought the reason anyone watched this was because everyone is in love with Summer Glau.. it is a poor substitute for Firefly, but so are most things.

Anyway, now is an excellent time to stop watching/continue to not watch this show. Unless the Friday Night Death Slot suddenly doesn't mean an automatic cancellation.

Some reason, I don't see them spending any kind of money for Fridays and Saturdays. ~$1+ million an episode? Haha; it's dead.

Terminator rocks, Summer Glau is one fugly lady, but I don't mind.
Just ordered the Firefly Blu-ray.
Terminator dead? cancelled. It would be very fitting. Good shows do get cancelled, like Firefly
Last episode I saw was ep. 7 from season 2. Loved it. Second season is better than the first season.

Second season just ended and I think they put in a very nice twist. Hopefully, Fox decides to continue it. The last five or so eps really turned the series around.

There's a couple things I was unclear about the last ep. Like how in hell John Henry takes Cameron's chip with him to the future if he's attached with cables to his hardware. And uhhhh, the computer equipment was still in the basement after they warped.

Well, for me the second season started better thab the first season, but the last couple of episodes are boring, yet watchable. [no damn terminator action or fighting or explosions, just blah blah, too much focus on Sarah Connor, the show is all about John Connor! The Sarah Connor actress annoys me and/or her script is stupid. Why is she always so stressed out? She needs a good .... every now and then]

For me when it's been good it's been great, and when bad absolutely dreadful. Having said that, I've had a lot more of the former than the latter. Halfway through season 2 now, after losing the will to watch in late 08 (Cameron & Allison episode: 50% great, 50% pregnant landlady nattering on = I haven't got tiiiime for this mickey mouse bullshit). I have to say it's been picking up. The central plot has me interested and it seems to be complicating nicely. The series also has a nice sense of self-referential humour and knows how to moderate it, which helps make even the slower episodes likeable.

Okay, it's dead now. My theory that the FOX Network was the FOX Network panned out.

On the flipside, there's at least another year of Dollhouse going down. I get the vibe it might last two more years. I'll be sure to start watching it as soon as its canceled.

IMHO what happened is this.
Season 1 was cool
Season 2 started out more awesome that Season 1. But then there were breaks where the episodes were not broadcasted (fnished, whatever) every week anymore and the episodes started to become shit. Episodes without any terminator action....... what remains is a bad feeling about the show. Only broadcast/release an episode if it is good. Don't bother releasing if it sucks, because now the show seems dead to most.
Still the show is much better than T3, but that's not so hard to accomplish
