I'm sure if I had 100k sitting around, I'm going to worry about Ikaruga being released. Perhaps he strives to attain BIG TYMER status of Dion Dakis and Chris Ray. Funny that he slams them yet is even more of a liar than them. They at least sent people shit and had products no matter the quality/validity. All I used to ever see was him listing Ebay auctions, getting negative feedback, then "td0001" would have the same item for sale, repeat over and over. 10 million in sales, lol. If its that easy, then how come someone in Japan isn't making that much in sales? There's your answer. I know Shou from these forums would be doing that if he could and he lives in Tokyo. Yet some crook in Jacksonville is pulling it off?

I had to Google him out of curiosity...from the first few hits it seems like his tactic is to shamelessly gank information and videos from other sources, then wait until Kotaku posts about it and spam their comment threads with LOL U SO SLOW I POSTED THIS FOUR DAYS AGO <link to blog here>

This was funny shit, though I'm kicking myself for laughing because it sounds like this guy has severe mental problems and desperately needs psychiatric help. I hope he gets it before he scams too many more people.

I actually skimmed over that part of the rant, thanks for pointing it out. A few members at racketboy are trying to point out how impolite it is to blogspam another site, and it's just not getting to him.

I actually don't mind him posting his links as most other sites don't cover that news.

I'm trying not to draw to many conclusions -- staying neutral, that type of thing. But after the long rant and the subsequent discussion here, it reminds me of those kids in elementary school that would tell outlandish stories about all these great things they do....

Hey man -- I dunno. Part of me wants to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I thought the rant hurt it case more than helped it in my mind.

I'm not gonna stress myself out about it.

The warning is on my forum for potential buyers and as long as he doesn't cause any trouble, I'm not about to kick him off or anything.

I haven't taken the time to read all the threads about him, but I can't help but wonder why everyone is so sure all the stuff he sells is fake.

not just fake shit, he will also not ship anything at all. ive heard that he completes a few small deals to build a rep then starts burning people. also, watch out for sock puppet accounts on the forum.

i wonder why...

ask him to sell you a progear or ketsui board and you can find out firsthand what all the ruckus is about if youre so doubtfull.

If I was planning on buying something from him, that's another story.

i always thought the deal with the ikaruga stuff was that he'd bought 1000's of copies, hoping it would be the next radiant silvergun, and he'd corner the market. everything he does is to benefit himself, financially.

That makes a lot more sense than they way he puts it.
I've heard of people doing that, but I've been collecting different types of objects long enough to know that a technique like that almost always backfires. That economics lesson deserves it's own forum thread.

ive actually encountered him on a site i used to be an admin on.....i had pics of my cabs posted....and then i see posts from 'japhei'.....i banned him on the spot

no....this was not an arcade related site, nor was there any selling on this site....

i had just posted pics of my cabs for people to see....then a few weeks later there is this new member 'japhei' commenting on the pics.....

Yeah, it's odd that he said he was "mentioned" on my site.
I've linked to some of his blog posts in the forum as not many site post that news, but it's not like I featured him on the blog or something.

It's a bit fishy that he's been sending me lots of PMs trying to play friendly with me.

I'm just ignoring them for now. Which I kinda hate as I try to be friendly most of the time. But I don't want to give him the idea that I think everything is cool.
