Vigilante 8 XBLA

Post by OneEyedJack »

Greetings from Isopod!

In case you haven't already heard, V8: Arcade cleared certification and was granted an XBLA release date of November 5, 2008 -- yup, less than one month away!

We've now also released our official video trailer onto the internet, showcasing the explosive gameplay of V8 across multiple arenas!

Finally, the website now features a FAQ, intended to answer key product-related questions from our users. The section was kicked off already with a number of 'How To Play' topics and other common questions.

We invite you to head over to www.v8arcade.com and check it all out! J

For those who loved and remember V8 for the PS/N64/DC, the BEAST IS BACK!

The graphics are *SEXY*
The game is pretty much conceived as a V8: 2nd O with decent and balanced gameplay - with 8 player online

I remember liking the series around when they came out. I haven't touched one of the games since then, though.

It's great that old series are being revived again.

They stripped out all the charm and soul of the original game.
Of course, that's just an opinion.

Vas V8 on PC the second game in a series? I read some time ago that there were two games in the series and some liked the first one more...I think.

Anyway, more vehicle combat games = good. Although now there's this DIP RIP thing on Steam for me to check out, and that is free.

I missed that vehicle combat MMO which shut down a few years ago, and I've always felt somewhat bad about that. Even if the thing sucked, it's not nice thinking you'll never be able to play it. I guess I'm sap enough to say the same for World War II Online, though

Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense was the second game, and it's the best vehicle combat game ever.

Vigilante 8 was neat but I always felt like it tried to steal Twisted Metal 2's thunder :(

Better than Twisted Metal 2?

Just kidding, I've don't think I've ever played V8 so I can't really compare the two.

Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense on the DC was quite good. It had a physics set that Twisted Metal lacked. Not to mention a giant ant. Considering that the XBLA version is being made by the original chaps I have high hopes.

Also, the Vigilante 8 series is a spin-off of "Interstate 76".

The Rush series is worth a look too. Nothing like your car doing 85 backflips in a single jump. ;D
