Does Cave Co. Ltd. list credits for English voiceovers?
On all the Donpachi PCB games (and even Ketsui), I don't recall Cave Co. Ltd. ever giving listed proper credits for the English voiceovers used during the attract screens & in-game sessions. Why is that?
And does Cave outsource to a private 3rd-party company for it's all-English voiceovers or is it done in-house at Cave's HQ? It would be cheaper if done by outsourcing. As then you wouldn't have to worry about getting all the professional recording equipment + sound recording booth setup. Or just go to one nearby and rent it for such purposes.
I've noticed that the USA region Donpachi PCB released by Altus USA seems to use extra voiceovers compared to the original JPN region version of the same name. Is that right or not?
Who did the voiceovers for the following listed Donpachi series of PCBs:
Donpachi -- it does feature alot of voiceovers with a black guy. ^_~
Dodonpachi -- sounds like an American lady doing the voiceovers during the intial launch from the support ship.
DoDonpachi DOJ -- again with the voiceovers during the Cave logo screen and during in-game play. If you listen to the voiceover samples in Test mode, nowhere are some DOJ's voiceovers heard during the actual gameplay. Why go through the trouble to record them and not use them?
I don't know about this version 1 and 1.5 of Dodonpachi Dai Fukkatsu PCB though. Does it have English overvoices as well and is proper credit given for them during Staff Roll credits sequence?
You might recall that Working Designs had such a professional in-house recording studio to do such English voiceovers for many of it's games released over the years.

Yep.GaijinPunch wrote:I've yet to see a DFK credit roll, but I'll be a shiny quarter all of the voice actors are outsourced from Kikaku (and credited as such).
The system voice (the girl who counts down before the first stage and tells you when a hyper is ready) is credited to someone named Erika Yamano.
