^I avoided the internet until 5 years ago when Border Down appeared in one of the London arcades. Then I just had to register on GameoverDude's site to discuss tactics on it.
EDIT:- 6 years ago I met elbarto and TC at Ravengames shop, who introduced me to this site.

As for 10 years ago...I bought the car I always wanted and then concentrated on women.

Ten years ago I was 12 years old. I think I discovered how to please the one-eyed bald guy with the turtle neck at that point.

My Hotmail account shows a created date of July 15, 1997, but if I recall correctly, the first time I used the Internet was in 1994, when my high school got their connection, one of the first in the nation. At the time, only one machine in the computer lab had the connection (a Sun 4 running SunOS,) and there were only a handful of websites out there. Most of the interesting stuff on the Web was in Gopher at that point. My first website went online in 1996 and lasted for about two years before I lost interest, and can still be found in the Internet Wayback Machine at archive.org.

Eleven years, three months, and six days ago was the first time I pleased 'the one-eyed bald guy with the turtle neck'. I remember because it was my thirteenth birthday. I have no idea why it worked out that way :?

I used it for the first time in my last quarter in high school, back in the Spring of 1996. Heh, it was Netscape 2.0 and it took like 20 minutes for something to print!
