Anybody think I should get Raiden III? Sounds like a good game.

All about Raiden 3 for me at the moment. I'm loving STGT08, but as soon as it's over I can't wait to be all over Raiden III like a rash.

Too many other distractions though, with my Fantasy Zone Complete unopened and an Miga 500+ on the way meaning a dig about in cupboards of old...

See you on the high score board Octopod?

I suck too mate! RIII reminds me of Kyukoko Tiger II in that there's not too many bullets and it doesn't look to tough, but it's inexplicably punishing. I can get to the level four boss on occaision, but I need to give it some more time, since I only really put in two evenings recently. We'll have the bastard yet! I wish I wasn't so busy

You're in London. Get into town as they have Progear at Casino arcade. Even though it's a rough old woody cab, it beats MAME and you get a nice big screen. I 1CC'd it there, and if I can anybody should be able too...

-nomltest
-Out Zone
-東方紅魔郷

-Gran Turismo 2
-Eternal Darkness

edit: Until I bother to/care to (same thing?) get a new MAME version, I am switching Out Zone out for Progear and perhaps some Grind Stormer.
edit2: oh god tower

Decided to take a break after the DDP 1-all and try to make it through ESP Rade for a bit. It's only a matter of time until I start working on DDP again, though.

DDP, slowly getting better. I just can't figure out how to effing keep the chain going right before the mid-boss by the third and fourth bees, where the first power-ship is located. Been stuck on this for awhile now.

Back to DDP...

Making it to the last level of the first loop consistently but still failing to actually get over the hump. I'll get it, though.

I've been playing Xexex on mame.

For years i've convinced myself I don't like R-Type style games, yet Xexex is totally awesome.

Following a shmup drought (weeks), I popped in Espgaluda for the PS2. Liking this game's scoring system -- very fun and easy to get into. I'll be playing this for a while. My latest top score is 7 million something by Stage 3, so I think I'm getting the hang of it.

Should I bother with tracking down the sequel?

Battle Garegga. Just got my MAME working again and gave this one a shot not too long ago. It's freaking great. My only question is why the bullets change when you select an alternate color ship (I picked the Napalm).
