Help, BWR is running WAAAY too fast

It's running at like 175 fps, and it's almost unplayable. I can make it to the first boss, but reacting to his bullets at that speed is just... it's like psikyo loop 2 or something.

Any idea what the problem is or how I can fix it?

if you using nvidia, apply 'force vsync' in nvidia control panel --> manage 3d setting. (can be accessed by right clicking on desktop).
