And how good is this Korg DS?

I've spent over four years compiling such short but cool BGM tunes with the PSX Dezaemon Plus game disc. Well worth the trouble alone. I've got them saved for posterity on several PSX and PS2 based memory cards. Honestly, they do sound better than the generic crap used for the Dezaemon Plus demo games. ^_~

I'm sure Athena Co. Ltd. would be shocked to learn that it is possible to create such funky 1970's disco beats with it's Dezaemon Plus BGM tune editor. It really was through a lot of trial and error and experimentation, that type of BGM was made possible. ^_~

Korg DS was really easy for me to start toying around with and I think it should be at the top of your list if you want to make music on a game system.

PS You're Toneman from Youtube... did you ever mess around with Famitracker more? Gurumed on there...

Yeah I did, but sadly the laptop with my songs on it has gone to the great beyond. But things are about to fall through though.

Dad bought a new desktop, in which I'll be getting the old one, and I've been keeping my eye on a USB MIDI keyboard at Radio Shack for 99.99 plus tax, and once I get that, I'm getting back into FT.

This's my first song I completed with eJay Clubworld a week ago, it's called "Freejack". I have yet to put it on YouTube.

It has a mellowed out lounge sound to it

That's hot- I love how layered all the cymbals and percussion parts are. (in response to RippleScythe)

if you are getting as serious as getting a midi keyboard it might be worth you checking out some of the more 'pro' audio software out there

Reason is a good program with a shallow learning curve

or there's the likes of Cubase, Sonar oh and and Logic (mac only)

full versions aint cheap but most of them do cut down versions too

i would avoid cracked copies of most of them too, tend to be very buggy and unstable

(as an extra note a few entry level midi keyboards come with software bundles with some of the above, its worth checking out what you get as some packs are fantastic value)

Does PSX Dezaemon plus have both sharps and flats?

I almost bought Super Famicom Dezaemon but didn't cause it lacks one of the two
