Well, this sure is one helluva game. Its price has dropped to $20, so I picked it up the other day and fell in love. The voice actors are there so that’s all good. What’s even greater about the audio is the soundtrack itself, it has some really badass techno beats going on.
This is pretty much the most fun I’ve had with a Third-person Action game since…ever. I also felt really smart figuring out what to do in the first level all by myself Hacking into other people is also simpler than it sounds and way cool!
Overall this is an awesome game…totally recommend it.
I had no idea this was released over in the US. I've known for quite a while that the game rocks but I didn't want to pick up the jap version cause I dont speak Japanese.
Supposedly, the US version even has different item placement than the JP version for some reason. It didn't look that interesting so I never got. Hey, Sage, are there any interesting or actually unique enemies you fight? The generic thugs look boring.
Its cool, I really liked it it back when I played it...its been years since though.
I did play it all the way through, and there was never a dull moment.
I especially liked the "ladybug" type mech, as it was able to walk onto and over buildings.
I believe both games have the tachikomas. It's just the first one was tank-only. And it actually had anime scenes, which I don't believe SAC has (one of the major reasons I didn't get it in fact).
From the developers of Jumping Flash, no less. It's quite awesome, but short. Much more difficult than either Jumping Flash game but still not that hard. Strongly reccomended buy. It's insanely fun

Yea, thats the one I was refering to. I didn't realize that there was a PS2 version out...
Yeah, the PS1 game is fun. I imagine the visuals haven't aged well (really early PS1 3D), but the game was really entertaining back in the day. The PS2 game got pretty mediocre reviews here in Japan, but I haven't played it. It'd be nice if it was fun though... sounds like at least one person likes it.

When my computer is working again, I'll be sure to cap a level or two
Apparently the PS2 version is pretty cool. I've been meaning to check it out for a long time but for some reason it hasn't come down in price even though it's been a year since it was released.
