these are the colours avaliable to the UK right now. Turquoise and lime green are pretty different. My friend got a half black half red one from JP. I was looking at these though

saw a gundam one just now. thats pretty sleek. I want something a bit difrent if i do buy one. I say I will buy it but my sister wants to get me something at chrsitmas and its in her price range :D
See the US always gets shafted. The only lite colors we have are red black pink and cobalt. That lime green looks more like a neon green if you ask me and turquoise is more robins egg but I WANT! I may have to import me a turquoise one if they dont come out with new DSi colors before Christmas.
It’s almost over. It’s just begun.

You has FOUR ARMS?!?!!

Another vote for fucking worthless. What the fuck do I need with a SD slot that I can't load ROMz with (homebrew maybe? I doubt it, but also didn't bother reading the article yet) and cameras.

Also bigger pixalz because I couldn't see them clearly enough in Contra 4. If they have better contrast and color fidelity in rapidly changing scenes (i.e. machine gun / spread bullets turning blue), maybe that'll be worthwhile; otherwise, forget it.

Martyn speaks the truth this time - DSi is a step into a direction that wasn't the direction of DS. it will probably sell like hot cakes anyway, but someone at Nintendo' design table hasn't quite understood its success, if they're going for a "multimedia device"...

I'd be more interested if the flow of good DS games hadn't slowed to a trickle.

I only buy video game machines for playing video games. How much extra will I have to pay for these two utterly useless cameras?
Of course, that's just an opinion.

Great, it's awesome that Nintendo has a new "Micro" in its sleeves, but I'm fine with DS, thanks.
a real GBA is better anyway. the resolution of a ds is greater (smaller pixels), so a GBA game displayed on a ds screen is smaller.

Hm.. maybe I'll stick to my regular DS Lite for now. The DSi doesn't seem to be aimed towards gaming but more about fashion and accessibility to *thousands of females in Japan* >_>

It will sell like nobody's business anyhow.

Nintendo moves power button on DS lite

This is pretty spot-on, actually.

I don't question that, but when you're on the go having two games into one single package is better. Castlevania and Puyo Puyo who could ask for more? :)

The ds is a good pick-up-able thing.... technically however it's a piece of crap ...

This update serves no other purpose than prolonging the life time of the DS and prolonging it at current - or near to current - price points...

... its a piece of poo, it really is ... shame there's some decent games for it because otherwise nintendo may have actually made a new, technically worthwhile, handheld...

... as it is ... you've got to congratulate them, and be happy that its good for gaming .... but i still hate it :P

How ironic that with the bigger screen GBA games would probably run better comparable to SP?), yet they removed the slot...

Like most of the game boys. I recall when everyone was like oooooh gameboy colour!!! I was like its the same machine techincaly no difrent! it really was a farce. same as this. I will buy a lite before the years out. and i doubt i will buy any more DS MK MK3 or anything.

I will require a propper leap like the GBA to the DS or the GBC to the GBA before i shell out cash

It will work with a "body parts detector" - you take photos of underage japanese girls with DSi (preferably on the train), then you tickle them with the stylus and they'll moan. Awesome.

The Green Lite looks different in real life and natural light.

Then when you try and plug such a game into a regular DS or DS Lite, you'll get this instead of the game...

More good news - according to Destructoid, its games will be region-locked.

EDIT - Shoot, someone in the other topic got to it before me.

Clariffication on DSi region lock:
1) Only DSi only software will be region-locked. Does not affect regular DS import title play.
2) No DSi retail software planned. All DSi exclusives will be DLC.

Similar to WiiWare/Virtual Console.

You can still play regular import DS cards.
