Hori RAP EX 360 Stick MOD

hi

im thinking of changing the stick im my hori rap ex 360 stick for a JLF-TP-8Y but looking inside the stick
im a little confussed how id have to wire it ?

are all the extra wires earth wires or something ? as the JLF has a 5 pin fitment , U,D,L,R and Earth

also are the black buttons in this stick OBSF30's in black as im looking to mod it so all buttons
are black and matching and need to know what to order

any help would be great thanks

im not to sure what it is but its not the usual JLF , ill do a bit of research and find out

it looks like a non-common ground jlf going by that pic. don't feel like looking up the model number, but they make an 8-pin version and the 5-pin common ground version. the current pcb in that stick probably has a seperate ground for each direction, so if you did put in a 5-pin jlf, you'd have to cut the common ground on the circuit board using a dremel with a cutting wheel and then solder your connections to the legs on the microswitches. not too much hassle, but i'm guessng thats a jlf already. the buttons look like hori buttons which are slightly smaller than obsf-30 so you'll have to replace them all and grind the holes from 28mm to 30mm.

so the JLF-TM-8T stick ive got now should be excatly the same as the JLF-TP-8Y stick except for the common ground ?

if thats the case i wont bother swaping it as theres no point just didnt seem as responsive as my other sticks but maybe needs breaking in ?

You could always try just changing the gate and the spring. I don't know much about rap 360, but that will most likely be the easiest changes you can do to change the feel of the stick. I don't know if you have used sanwa sticks before but they a looser feel than you would expect.

yeah, there's definitely a break-in period with the sanwa (any stick, really). get a few hours in on it and it'll feel like butter.

nice , ill stick with it , ive been using my other JLFs for years and they all feel great
