anyone played it? i want the thing hard and have since the first promo vids were released, but is it import friendly for those without knowledge of japanese?

Maybe there was something I didn't get about it, but I thought it was one of the worst games I had ever played.

Its extremely import friendly, as no language is really used in the game.

Mind you, chances are you will need to read a FAQ, because its fairly difficult to follow the evolutionary path and solve all the puzzles on your own. But its fun enough for what it is.

it looked firggin awesome from the play footage and impressions i've read. now to find a copy i can buy and not feel guilty about

I don't think LOL is that expensive... last I checked it was like $15.

Then I guess prices have sky rocketed since last I looked.

Hmm... I might would sell you my copy for $35, not sure if it has the spine though (but it is second hand as I bought it new from ncsx back in the day). PM me if you're interested.
