What VC shmups are you enjoying most as of late?
Many of us have the original carts but it is great so see such support for shmups on the VC. I've really been enjoying the "Soldier" games. Just picked up Final Soldier tonight and loved it.
I don't want this to turn into a console war discussion. This thread is only about Wii VC shmups.
Some of the best shmups don't actually end in a vowel.
No, this game is not Space Invaders.

Same here; I've gotten into the Soldier series as well thanks to this.
Though Im still missing much of it. Currently trying to beat Soldier Blade. Argh.
Hudson and Compile "Soldier" style shooters seem to be multiplying on my Wii for some weird reason. Every time I boot it up there's another one on there. I think I'm an addict.
Outside of them, I've got R-Type 3 on SNES, Gleylancer on MD, Lords of Thunder on PCE/CD. Plenty more I'm planning on grabbing, but I've told myself that I need to finish one before grabbing another.

im enjoyin the PS1 shmups on the PSP!... i knew it was fun, but never imagined it was THAT fun...
now, srly, i've a friend with a Wii (i bought the X360 instead), and hes gotten into the "soldiers" too... pretty neat games if you ask me.
Excellent topic, but, yeah, there's already a thread devoted to this. My favorites are Zanac and the R-Type games. However, the real bonuses are the games I didn't already own like Gley Lancer and Cho Aniki. I've been on a cute-em-up kick so it's nice to see Super Fantasy Zone and Star Parodier are available, though I have these titles already.
