Why is EVERYONE selling their Cave PCBs?
Why is EVERYONE selling their Cave PCBs?
There are not enough buyers!
Yeah I've noticed that to, I've seen a ton of ketsui, and full progear kits. Then a crap load of other random stuff also.
It's so hard for me to save up for a 800.00 to 1200.00 board I couldn't think of parting with one after i got it. But then again I don't make nearly as much as I should at my age, slacker I guess.

If you try to sell Ferrari's in a recession you'll likely be selling at a bargain basement prices. Even though PCB's and Kits cost alot in the gaming world, the money you would get for them would only last a week or two in the real world. I find it hard to believe an ESP ra.de is going to make that much of a difference in cash terms.
Besides, the sellers that have jumped on the bandwagon most recently are the fools, since they are selling with competition already there. Had they advertised 2 weeks earlier they would have gotten a sweeter deal.

This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

That's exactly how I am. When I bought Pink Sweets, Mushihimesama Futari, and a few other really expensive boards I told myself that it was way too much money for a video game, but I could always sell it and make my money back. I thought of it as putting money in the bank, but instead of monetary interest I got to play the games. When I think about it now, I'm pretty sure the only way I would sell any of them was if I was about to become homeless.Strider77 wrote:It's so hard for me to save up for a 800.00 to 1200.00 board I couldn't think of parting with one after i got it.

damn, maybe i should throw another DOJ BL out then to balance it up..zak wrote:Make that 2 Ketsui nowPlasmo wrote:We got like 3 Ketsuis (some kits), 3 Futaris, 2 Progears (fullkits wtf), 2 DOJ Black labels (kitrs again), DDP, Galuda 2 and like 10 EspRades and Ibaras.and possibly 1 progear by this weekend.

Cauze they aint Hardcore enuf. innit
Fuck only knows. It's a terrible time to sell anything. I just sold a car and took a real kick in the balls, but it's all relevant, my new one was cheaper than it would have been 6 months ago.
Anyone who invests in videgames needs their heads read (and kicked a little)

i guess people are just selling stuff they don't use to help keep entertainment levels the same during recession type economies.
I sold a huge chunk of my dc collection (50% ish) to be able to buy other stuff and take mom out to dinner without it denting my wallet as badly as usual. good news is my copy of donpachi should be in soon. bad news i'll likely never bother to buy marvel vs capcom 2 again since prices continue to inflate.

I just gutted all this kits are going on sale straight after the month I decided to piss all my money up a wall buying a bike and going to two festivals.
Just when I want ESP.ra.de there's a ton on the trading forum and they're selling well...
I like the idea that it's nice to see them changing hands though. Better than them sitting unplayed in cupboards.

Thats the main reason I sold my ra.de, because it wasn't getting the playtime it deserved. I have a lot of other boards I seem to concentrate on more, plus I suck at them all, but I can always buy it again if I feel the need.
The scoring system just didn't gel with me too well really. I dunno, nice game however.

I think this is closer to the truth. There is a very small amount of people willing to pay this much for a PCB Kit, and those that can already have bought enough they can afford. Combined with the thinking of Ozymandiaz1260 above, where most people think they can get back most if not all the money spent to buy another board, when one comes up for sale and its below the excepted price, you'll see people panicking to get rid of their boards before price goes down any further.Erinu wrote:have fun trying to sell anything you think is worth over $1500 since people don't have that kind of money to throw around.
Just my opinion of why you see abnormal spurts of high priced sale items like this.
