virtua cop rebirth q

Does this work with the ps1 guncon from namco?

Are the ports dead on or not?

Thanks,

Richie.
This industry has become 2 dimensional as it transcended into a 3D world.

afaik, none of the GunCon2 games will operate with a PSX GunCon.
I have not specifically tried it with Virtua Cop Rebirth.

The ports are good enough that I never thought to think there was any difference from the Saturn versions I was used to playing.

Well, the 2 or 3 times I tried to use PSx/GunCons on PS2/GunCon2 games it sure didn't work. (Time Crisis 3, one example)

I could've sworn I used the Guncon for Time Crisis 2, Vampire Night and Ninja Assault.

Not Crisis Zone, though.

I'm also quite sure Ninja Assault uses the Guncon. Never been able to play it though :(

There should even be a version with the gun packed-in, I think.

Well, yes, there is a GunCon2 package available.

wikipedia says: "Many Guncon 2 (PS2) games are compatible with the original Guncon. The only limitation is if the game utilized the extra buttons on the Guncon 2."

I've been meaning to dig out my lightgun games soon. Maybe I'll get a-round-tuit one a these days.

TC2 supports GCon45, TC3 doesn't. I _think_ Crisis Zone does, I remember going nuts dual-wielding guns in that...

Gunbari (point blank) collection doesn't which is annoying.
