Recca ripped and resold....

Post by Pixel_Outlaw »

For those of you who don't know Recca has been ripped and remade in one of those multi game plug and play systems.

Part of me is disguested, part of me wants to try the game.

Wow, it´s slow and boring now!

I actually have a very similar game system, it´s a small handheld one. The best part about it is the pretty clear screen. Most of these games are indeed complete rubbish, with really creative names like "Fast Race" or something, too. I bought it fully aware that it´s crap, but at that time it had some "so bad it´s good" aura about it. But it´s really just so bad it´s BAD. I guess I also had too much money at that time :?

So what are people's general feelings about Recca being ripped/modded and sold?

Fair play if what seems like a reasonably imprecise version floats your boat, but I'm saving my first play until the day I get my hands on an original cart.

I think that's why on the most I prefer hunting down physical copies from playing through other means when it comes to super rare stuff. Unlike Palin's daughter, I'm saving myself for the real thing!

EDIT: Spelling

It is too far different than the original Recca.

Solaria? lack the secondary power up, of which is very beneficial (especially 'S') and the 'bomb' attack which itself is very useful in game play.

What is left is a bare bones rip off of a game.

I couldn't care less that someone took the original and made some hack of a game.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, right?
