You speed up way too fast after one speed-up. I find myself crashing into walls to get a power-up way more often than I should! That kind of speed is reserved for at least a second or third speed power-up.

sorta agree, but no game-breaking. Just need some adjusting to it. The opposite may be Gradius Advance .... too many speed up icons are required to get a decent speed.

I used to take ALL speedups for MANLINESS
sometimes
2 speedups for a standard run tho
