RQ: DDP: DOJ 1-up?

Has anyone found a triggerable 1-up during any level of the game? Most Cave games seem to have this but I've yet to encounter one in DOJ.

In stage 4, at the giant cannon midboss, if you destroy the side cannons before destroying the center you'll get a 1-up.

Do not however destroy the central cannon with a bomb or you will not get the one up. You can bomb there, just make sure that it doesn't open up that central part.

Just to note: You can use a hyper if you have to. The bullets that come out of the thing have tiny hitboxes however, so don't panic when they come toward you and look like there's no way through. The bullet casings that it spits out are far more deadly. It's a cinch once you get used to going through it.
