I broke down and ordered 2. Which is nuts, because I already have a USB Saturn pad, but these things are flying off eBay. Half of the auctions I saw this morning have been bought already.

And I don't want to miss out, of course. I managed to get a Saturn PS2 pad when they were available, but I wish I had 80 of them. I'll kick myself if I don't buy these if only to keep them in storage until necessary.

The information off SRK sold me so I bought one.
Too bad it's only in one colour (I'd love one like the original grey/blue Saturn ones) but all signs point to yes and go.

That makes 3 (an original version same colour[still boxed] and a loose Puyo Puyo version) that I have. I can't wait to test this sucker out.

I agree. All people need now is a remake of the PS2 version.

Also, someone on SRK mentioned the code of the new pad being sold on ebay (ISS-5001-01) and an older one (ISS-5001). The boxed one I got off Yahoo Japan 2 years ago is ISS-5001-01. That should pretty much seal the deal unless the new pads feel crummy.

I'd open mine up for inspection of internals once this new one arrives but, I'm sure it'll be fine.

Hats off to the Chinese bootleggers for seizing this opportunity. If they keep the price low, they'll sell tons of these.

I'm already excited at the prospect of finally being able to play simultaneously with my friends using these.

I just won two for $30 including shipping. If others don't I'll post impressions when they get here.

I'm curious about a few things. The rubber pad underneath the d-pad on my original USB pad broke about a year ago. I bought two Saturn pads to replace the grommet. I'm wondering if, supposing the buttons are sub-par, you could transplant the PCB into an original Saturn pad case. I don't remember if the Saturn and USB variants use the same size PCB.

You know things are pretty bad when so many people who are normally against bootlegs are picking these things up. Myself included.

I had no idea this would blow up as much as it did.
Just bought one. Wow, first the Olympics, now this, it gets better and better
 Good to see that when Sega falls asleep, the gaming community is not lost. I have an original one, I'll let you know if I spot any differences

They're very polite about the whole thing:
Dear -
How are you?
The item has been shipped out from Hongkong , and the Tracking Number is -, you can sign in the website: - to check the shipping information.
The delivery usually takes about 9-15 business days(not including holidays and weekends). But it may take longer due to the regional difference and express delivery service. Please waiting with patience.
If it?s convenient, please let me know when you get your item. Thanks very much!
It?s a pleasure to do business with YOU. I?m looking forward the next pleasant transaction.
So yeah mine's still in transit. But the folks at shoryuken have it covered already, so I'm not going to bother taking any pictures. So long as it's as good as (or better) than my current USB Saturn pad, I might actually use these instead of shoving them into storage. For some reason my USB pad has always felt kinda stiff in comparison to my PS2 Saturn ones.

I got mine this morning. Pretty fast if you ask me although shipping was 9 dollars.

I thought the D-pad felt unusual at first but, it turned out it was just very fresh and with a quick test in Street Fighter Zero 2 Alpha the results were very favourable.

Upon inspection of PCBs between my Puyo Puyo controller for USB and the new one I found the magnetic contacts on the Puyo Puyo one were smaller. Otherwise they were nearly the same.

The end result is that I'm very pleased with an 18 dollar purchase and anyone else looking for a good PC controller would be too.

Received one this morning and it performs just like the PS2-Saturn pad I have.

I don't have any reason to think these are bootlegs.

Oh yeah, you know what, actually I already got mine (THANX JOCKEL!!!!), but man, those are crap. They´re made out of bamboo and chalk, and instead of having electronic stuff in it they are filled with loose screws and rabbit poo. And is this lead paint on the buttons??!? WELL, THANK YOU CHINA!!!!

And because of the holes in the timeline I already know that yours is filled with sawdust and sealed in one of these hardcore clamshell packagings that will cut you when you´re trying to open them.

Dammit, should have bought like 10 of these while I had the chance. Why did I think these would be around for a while? Only got a pair from this supposed "lost and found pallet from China" sale. :o

Mine arrived. They're practically identical to the USB Saturn and PS2 Saturn pads. So much so that I can't tell the difference when playing Tuohou on Lunatic with them. Really, there's no difference between the two.

So yeah, I'm really happy with buying these. Although I don't need three USB Saturn pads.. oh, also, they arrived out of the box. I don't mind though, since it was well worth the price.

Yes, because some people bid stupid amounts. So the sellers realized that they could increase the price to 60 USD (shipped) for 2 controllers (=double the price). It's basically the AES/Cave effect on a small scale.
The sane reaction would be NOT to buy at that price, forcing them to lower it again.

I won an auction for 2 controllers for ~30 USD shipped a week ago.

EDIT:
By the way, those sellers must really believe that the buyers are total idiots (not saying that they are wrong). All BIN auctions have different prices/shipping, but combined it's always ~30 for a single controller and ~60 for two.

Yeah, in the beginning they went for 12 USD without shipping...
