Alien VS Predator Movie... Plot Holes....

Post by ST Dragon »

I saw Alien VS Predator movie last week.

One thing I don't understand is that since the story takes place in the 21st century & the Billionaire Wayland dies in the end of the film (Gets stabed by the Predator), who is the guy we see in the end of Alien 3 that takes place 300 years in the future & is encouraging Ripley to give him the Alien Queen that is inside her?

He said that he was the creator of the Bishop cyborgs, but he had died in the AVP 300 years earlier, so eitehr he was lying & he was just another synthetic or he was cloned like Ripley was in Alien 4.

Confusing.
Not a very got film by the way.

In Alien 3 it was a synthetic/android, like Bishop, who was lying to Ripley. If I remember correctly the last surviving prisoner attacks it and smashes his head open a little bit. The android is unfazed by it and continues to plead to Ripley. The prisoner gets shot in the leg by one of the "Company" security guys.
I could be wrong as it's been a good few years since i saw it.

If I remember correctly the last surviving prisoner attacks & hits him on the head with a pipe & then there is blood purring from his head, so it couldn't have been an android. But I could be wrong.

Before I saw the AVP film I thought that somehow Weyland found the secret of prolonged life somewhere in the ancient pyramid. Seeing as he was dying from cancer that would explain his urge to go along with the team to search & his reappearance in Alien 3.
That would have been a cool plot linking, but it left you even more confused instead. It sucked.

But then again isn't the producer of AVP, the same guy who made those shit TV series Xena & Hercules. In those series elements from the Greeko-Roman Mythology & history are greatly butchered in order to make something for the TV.
That would explain how he managed to kill the AVP franchise.

Except for one major point, AVP has nothing to do with the original Alien/Predator movies.

It's a "what if?" movie.

I can't think of anyone in common between AvP and Xena/Hercules. Besides, Xena/Hercules were executive produced by Sam Raimi, who rules.

By the way, can you post a larger pic of your avatar?
Somehow I could tell that there was some kind of a toilet seat in that avatar, but I also thought that it had hands of some kind.

Ya know, Paul WS Anderson is a strange director.

He accepts to do the most stupid things a director could do. All his movies have a completely low expectation by everyone. He's a bad screenwriter who can't escape from cliches. His movies have the greatest chance to be amazingly crap.

And yet he always manages to do something enjoyable enough. AvP had everything to be horrible, and while it's not top-notch stuff, I enjoyed watch it.

The same could be said by Mortal Kombat or Resident Evil, which btw, are the only 2 movies based on videogames that don't suck completely IMO. (THough I never found Super Mario Bros to be as bad as people like to point out)

I loved Mortal Kombat Movie back in 1995; I thought it was great fun. The fight scene between Johnny Cage Vs Scorpion that takes place, 1st in the woods & then at the Netherworld, was one of the coolest fights I've seen.

The soundtrack was also amazing, which did help a lot & so did the multiple locations which I love in films.
Over all it was a great movie & I don't understand why people hate it so much? MK2 movie wasn't as good but it wasn't bad either. The rest that followed were very bad though.
I'm not a MK fan by the way & never enjoyed the games either. So that’s probably why I enjoyed the 1st 2 films.

Super Mario was a nice movie. I loved the part in the end where Bowser said: "More Mamals" & turned the Mafia guy into an Imp with the energy gun!
That was hilarious!

As for the rest of the films mentioned I didn't like them at all!

I'm thinking about renting Resident Evil 2 & House of the Dead Movies next week.
So tell me people, is it worth spending my hard earned money to even rent this crap? Or should I pass?

So it's what I suspected. A panda on a toilet getting high. Man, those furries sure are a degenerate bunch...

Wait a minute... D'oh!

The worst thing in the film was the chick and the predator becoming mates

I honestly half expected a touching human/alien love scene at the end

I always thought it's avatar was some sort of robot. It looked a little like Gur from Invader Zim. Wow, I was way off. Little helper bot, one-eyed drug addict panda on the pot, worlds apart.

You'd think the Predators fighting the Aliens for such a long long time they would have sensors on their ships that alert them if there's an Alien embryo bought back on board. Every time the Predators returning from combat they should be going through de-contamination or something.

But yes the Alien is the ultimate killing machine.

Still one single Alien drone shouldn't be a problem in a ship full of combat-ready Predators. Except if that was another Alien Queen that is...

But that would be just mean more hunting in confined space.... nothing a Pradator veteran couldn't handle...

You think its going to get a sequel?

That queen alien at the end didn't die, it survived deep freezing in a pyramid so it shoulg be able to handle cold water, + they can swim very well.

I can think of this plot:

Queen alien survives gets to an american small town spawns in a mine little kid gets chest bursted and voila aliens earth wars saga. then that pred alien hybrid fukks up te ship, predators crash land on earth and start the hunt to wipe em out rockin eh? Through in a bunch of marines and its got potential.

+ 50 years of waiting for the dormant queen to be found.

Remember, it got mutated inside the predator so now it's an Alien/predator hybrid, the worst kind.
