What are our thoughts on Sarah Palin

This Sarah Palin that the press mentions is only 44 years old and will be soon a "hottie granny". Why is that the American press makes a such a big fuss over her 17 year old daughter being pregnant? It's still a private matter and really ain't nobody's business. Just let it go and concentrate on McCain and Palin for the time being. ^_~
The other possible VP canidates that McCain was considering had what is known as "excess baggage"...dig deep enough and the press will have a "field day" harking up such dirty shit on them. When McCain made that sudden and shocking annoucement of picking Palin for VP, nobody and not even the press knew about her (except for what little press coverage in AK, of course, with her being governor). ^_~

She won't be ignorant assuming that both her and McCain are voted into the White House. With a possibility of four years of being VP and it'll be interesting to see Palin and Hillary butt heads for President four years down the road. We are in for some interesting times ahead when it comes to American politics, folks. ^_~Ceph wrote:She's an ignorant bitch. What more needs to be said?

I believe the press is focusing on it so much, because Palin's a staunch supporter of pro-life, and abstinence. Her 17 year old daughter gets knocked up by an 18 year old self proclaimed "fuckin' redneck", and it looks like he wants to be there about as much as any of us want to be in the dentist's chair. Also, his MySpace page says (or said if it's been edited since) "I don't want kids".PC Engine Fan X! wrote:This Sarah Palin that the press mentions is only 44 years old and will be soon a "hottie granny". With the current infatuation with anything even remotely scandalous, it's not hard to see why the press is going after this with such vigor. It may or may not be right/fair given that it's a family matter, but it's what the press does these days

I was kidding about who i was going to vote for but i'll play devils advocate.
First of all the books thing was false. www.snopes.com she never banned any books.
second of all, why a woman over a black guy? Woman had more trouble getting the right to vote. (at least it took them longer).
My actual honest opinion? All the candidates look bad. I don't like a single one of them, i just wanted to make a boob joke. I may vote either way.

I believe that dinosaurs walked the earth at one time but since they've vanished 65 milllion years ago, all we have left is their fossilized bones to study with. ^_~antron wrote:yes she will be. if you don't believe in dinosaurs you are ignorant in any house.PC Engine Fan X! wrote:She won't be ignorant assuming that both her and McCain are voted into the White House.Ceph wrote:She's an ignorant bitch. Palin is a liar. she will have her investigation appealed past the election, but from the statements she has made so far concerning 'Troopergate' it is clear she lied about leaning on that commissioner.

Sarah Palin?
I'm somewhat concerned. As McCain is extremely close to the end of his life cycle and/or Alzheimer's...she is dangerously close to becoming president. Thing is, I really don't know anything about her, but the more I read, the more worried I become.
Hopefully Obama will defeat McCain and it won't matter. BTW, I'm not a huge fan of Obama either but I rather deal with him than another republican regime.

McCain lost me completely when he sided with Bush 90% of the time and also for his desire to make healthcare premiums a part of taxable income. He pledges not to raise taxes, but he'd be essentially creating a new tax. What a liar. You can put dogshit in a diamond studded gold box, but it will still stink.
Sarah Palin was someone who I'd never heard of until McCain picked her. I have nothing against a woman for President or VP, but I don't want Palin possibly calling all the shots if McCain kicks the bucket- especially with all the scandals. Her daughter Bristol's teen pregnancy is something I don't approve of, but that's not the reason I dislike Palin.
Religion and politics should be kept separate. When I go to church, I don't want my pastor to be talking politics. Politics itself should remain faith-neutral, especially considering that there are many different faiths with their respective creeds. If a pastor preaches about politics, his church should lose tax-exempt status.

Obama lost. Palin pretty much sums up the demographic that fled the Democratic party cause "omg scary black man, oh noes! hide the purse". Not that i'm siding with Barack either, but lets face it. White women's fear of black men, especially those in power, has been the elephant-in-the-room issue of this whole election. A better battle would have been if Mccain had gone with Palin with Clinton having the nomination instead of Barack or at least with him playing second in command. I would have loved to have seen that showdown. Awesome catfight.

God hates asians. It must be in the bible. I'm sure it'll make it in there along with god hates poor people, black people, gay people, middle easterners, abortion and what ever else they swear is in the current edition.captpain wrote:Actually this is all just Palin's secret plan to boost America's population so that we can eventually go to war with China. I'd still hit it. If Mccain knows what he's doing he'll put her office under his desk.Neon wrote:Barry and Bi Bi: Lessers of four weevils

I've actually been thinking more and more about separation of church and state lately and how it has become a total farce in the US. Sometimes it is actually upheld (the Dover Kitzmiller trial), but then we can have a big religious president justifying his actions based on religious reasons (I don't know which is worse, the likelihood that we're in Iraq for oil, or the alternative, because Bush (and millions of other Americans) thinks its end times and we need to have some fucking holy war with the Muslims.
Yes, from the vantage point of anywhere other than the US, I imagine the BS might as well be in skywriting.
