What are our thoughts on Sarah Palin

Post by CMoon »

I actually felt McCain wasn't a bad candidate (way better than Bush anyway) until he signed on his VP.

Anyway, this one cinched my vote for Obama. What are your thoughts on her?

Also, I like how she used "San Francisco" as an epithet the other day but that's not exactly new. At least it's not a part of America where Americans live.

I don't particularly like her. I'm still planning on voting for McCain though.

Draconian Creationist wench.

She wants to severly limit sex education in schools for fuck's sake. I hate those people that think stopping sex education will stop people having sex. Rarely is a lack of education a good thing.

The only good thing called "McCain" are french fries. I wonder how many Americans think they are ordering fries when they vote for McCain.

She works just fine as a candidate. Just as sneaky evil and manipulative as the rest of the politicians. I may vote for her b/c she's got b00bs and the make people mad that i did it only because she has 'em.

I like making people angry.

Enough that you'd risk making your country worse?

She'd be nothing but damaging for a country already suffering from too much religion in it's politics.

As usual, The Daily Show pretty much covers it.

EDIT: So does Karl Rove.

'Course no one said boo about it when Hillary was running. But she was just a whiner anyway (and didn't have a pregnant daughter).

She's for teaching creationism in schools. That makes me immediately dislike her.

Also her pick by McCain is such an obvious political move (as opposed to picking a vice president he thinks is actually a good choice for the duties the office entails) it's pretty sad. This is a woman that was governor of alaska for 20 months, and she'll have to cast tie-breaking votes in the senate and possibly lead the country if McCain dies in office (Very possible)? No way.

I would have preferred if Condoleeza Rice would have entered the race. Her fuckability easily trumps the other two broads. Truthfully, i'd fuck the shit outta Sarah Polin. Something about white well kept cougar bitches that turns me on. I'ma write her in for president.

Seems like the McCain campaign looked at her and thought "Hey, she's female and a social conservative! The ticket can pick up two key demographics for the price of one!"

Apart from that, she seems skilled at politicking, but I've seen no evidence that she has the kind of knowledge or insight needed to constructively deal with national issues. The debates might change that, but I'm not holding my breath.

this ughhhhh

Am I wrong in thinking that McCain seemed like a pretty reasonable guy in the beginning? Though I didn't agree with him as much as the other candidates, I figured he'd at least be an improvement.

...then he turned and went for the Amurican vote and hurriedly chose a VP solely to pick up the cunt vote ughhhhh I hate US politics

there was an article in a UK paper claiming she is anti-environmental in that she lets corporations dump lots of toxic waste off the coastline and is pro-oil extraction in the alaskan region which would be detrimental to the landscape and wildlife.

She hates books too.

I thought church and state were supposed to be seperate in the USA. Why is religion such a strong electoral platform?

I'm under the impression that there are far more people that believe in a god and/or religion than those of us who know it's all bullshit. Hence, to even be a candidate for president in the US, you need to have some sort of belief that's somewhat inline with the masses possibly voting for you.

It's fucked, but that's the way it is. I wish we were intelligent enough to separate the two. I have morals because I'm a human being, not because a book told me to.

Just seems kinda odd to me. In the UK we have an official state religion yet politics isn't an overt platform. Tony Blair hardly even mentioned his faith until he left office.
